Don't post much here but the OctoCoin devs have been upset with us for our lack of participation so I suppose it's time we get more involved in the community. I'd like to apologize to anybody that has experienced slow replies from FusionHash support. We do stay on top of support requests but we don't always get back as soon as we would like. We are currently putting the finishing touches on our mining farm/hash rental service which is the primary focus of FusionHash for the next several months. We put pools up live for coins that we felt were of the highest quality and work closely with the devs to ensure standards are being met on both sides. While we didn't anticipate much support would be needed just for pools, we do monitor everything and read every support ticket (as few as there may be). We still don't have our dedicated support team in place (they are currently in training and will be supporting much more than just the pools) but I wanted to confirm that we do receive messages, we do fix any issues (usually a stuck cronjob every once in a while but no shares are lost), and we reply as soon as we can. We never received any communication from the individual claiming we have stolen their 888 and that individual does not have an account at FusionHash under the same name. Not sure where the communication issue is occurring but please contact us here on this forum and somebody will check it at least twice/day. I'm trying to understand what their issue is but will need more details in order to correct the problem. I assure you we aren't pissing away the reputation of our entire business for 2000 OctoCoins from some randomly chosen guy - there is obviously a misunderstanding here and we want to get it resolved.

I am quite sure the dev team will be following through on their promises but that doesn't mean they aren't being slightly sneaky about it. If the devs want me to delete this post I will (send me a message) but I had a discussion with one of the devs and happen to know that they are very disappointed in how much 888 they have managed to acquire after all of the stuff they've been paying out. By not posting for a week it drives the price down and they can slowly buy cheaper on these little exchanges. I figured out the wallet address on one of the devs accounts and they have added over 230,000 888 in the past 3 days alone and on that particular wallet they have never sent a single coin. Not sure if it's an organized effort or what but the devs buying and never selling seems like a good sign to me. I bought a bit more but at this point I'm heavily invested in another altcoin as well and I'm running low on BTC. The devs might be playing you by driving down the price on the exchanges but I've seen plenty to convince me they will follow through on their promises. What would be the point otherwise? There hasn't been any volume and CryptoRush is pretty much toast. These guys have their shit together way too much to be crazy enough to dump before releasing anything or even waiting until it hits a bigger exchange. Another clue is that FusionHash is legit and wouldn't have listed 888 if they weren't sold on it. FusionHash just hired 4 full-time employees in their huge new Austin office - I know because I applied and didn't get the job  Cry - would have been awesome to have the inside track on what the hell they have planned. Also frameLAlife is the man. 888 needs to get you on the payroll.

I followed suit and have been buying octo cheap as well. if i were the devs and i had to make up for giving away most of the premine, i also would let the price drop and buy up before releasing. i mean it's the smartest thing to do if you believe your coin and services will have a large price bump. if you are smart, i could see moving on to mining another coin if you need the cash out, but to dump what you mined for so cheap? on a coin with a decent cap and a dev team and a community like this? i mean for very little news, this thread has stayed active compared to coins added to poloniex, cryptorush, mintpal and cryptsy lately. hell, i switched to mining surge for a few days on launch and it's already on poloniex. i think their whole thread is under 20 60+ pages we have. i say those who are patient and wait will be rewarded. if they were going to just drop the coin and split they would have found a way to profit from it first. not even cryptorush had the volume of a dump by the devs and even if you dumped you cannot get bitcoin off their server. so i hope people are patient. for now, when you sell for cheap on all these exchanges, i'm buying up.

Could be. I just thought the same sometimes... that if i was the devs, i would try to catch as many 888 as possible before we go.  But they told us multiple times that the right time to buy and mine is now. So they aren't tooo selfish.   Grin
Does somebody know how much they hold exactly?
So this feels like a pre-shakeout before the party starts. Holders will profit.   Wink
And i hope they won't dump on us and leave after there is some volume. It would be smarter to make Octo a big one. I think they got the right things to do so. So let's wait and see what april brings with it.   Smiley

I'm gonna clean up this town
To add to my previous post: 888 devs - we need to see something before the end of the month. I have faith in you guys but if you can't produce some stuff by the end of the month you're going to start looking like every other coin. The multiple dedicated supporters deserve not having to wait too much longer.

Although the majority of new markets will come from the voting system, we reserve the right to add new markets outside of the system where we feel necessary.

And Octo is necessary  Grin

if the devs can live up to what they're talking about, then yeah, totally could be.

true that..... but i don't see any reason why they wouldn't.... it doesn't make sense to do so... now if they had dumped and made a lot of money and wanted to abandon the coin, i could see that. the most volume has been at cryptorush, even if a large part of that volume was devs cashing out before running, they couldn't withdraw any bitcoin lol.....

so i'm guessing that they are having issues and/or taking their time with the promises. i also think that before April is over we will see something significant from the devs, even if it's just the updated website with the services and timelines for release they were talking about.

Just saw on mintpal's twitter that starting next week they're only going to take 1 new coin a week from voting. Will make competition even tougher to get there.
