Hi all,
As you may recall I have a patched version of the aeon code on my github: https://github.com/iamsmooth/aeon
One of the things I did was update the seed node. Well it turns out the seed node I had listed appears to no longer be available.
If you are running a stable, reachable aeon node and are willing to be listed as a seed node, please let me know and I will patch it into the code. Although seed nodes aren't needed if you are already running a node yourself, having a working one listed would be a great help to new users.

I have no comment on this. I said earlier that it was up to the community to engage in further development activities if people want it. I took on the task of making sure that critical security issues are patched, and coordinating a few things like getting some new seed nodes working.

I can't build Windows binaries at all. (I don't have Windows and never use it.) Perhaps another trusted community member can step forward to provide them?

1. Wait for daemon to sync
2. Backup wallet.
3. Delete wallet.bin file. Do NOT delete wallet.keys file.
4. Start wallet
Then you will see how much you have
Difficulty is pretty low so you can just solo mine if you want (start_mining number-of-threads in the wallet) and get some coins every day on a decent computer.

This coin is abandoned, see the OP. Dont waste your time here, support a CryptoNote coin (of your choice) that is alive and vivid.
Sort of true. The original developer abandoned it but I did create a patched version in my github with critical fixes, so it is still usable.

My OS is windows 8.1
Ah okay, we need to get someone to build new binaries. I can't since I don't use Windows at all.
In the mean time, you can try --seed-node 91.121.221.92:11180 on the command line when you start the daemon.
