See many people are waiting for the token distribution because it took quite long for distribution. Once it is distributed than the other developments will follow according to it because many people have a lot of expectation on this AE.

I think this is the area where they need to work nonstop without making pauses because like this rhythm stops. With the current progress, I expect AE token distribution to be made soon. The devs are preparing to deploy AE token contract on ropsten testnet — If no issues are found, Distribution will proceed just like Vlad said. Hopefully the distribution is completed in August so we can move on with more important things.

This shouldn't be an issue because You can actually import your Ledger wallet to MEW since You have your priv keys. Although It is very much likely that Investors with hardware wallets will get their tokens.
