Aeternity is a team that is good at explaining their project and building network effects. They are doing free marketing for my technology.

It is true, they did put my name on the website, and they did offer to give me some tokens. I am planning to launch another blockchain soon with a zcash style distribution instead of a crowdsale. I will fix some errors that the Aeternity team is telling me to put into their blockchain.

Omg, what a nice project indeed!

So please correct me where if/I'm wrong.

1. There is not yet a final decision around the capping of the number of coins.
2. Coins will not be distributed until Q1 2018.
3. There is a second ICO phase starting in May - I'm not clear on why it's structured like this.

1. There is no final decision on second phase cap yet.
2. Token will be tradeable after phase 2 of the campaign. The migration to the mainnet will happen in Q1-18
3. Presale is needed in order to get some time and resources and to prepare to main phase. Testnet is already up. https://blog.aeternity.com/security-transparency-simplicity-1411fad10974

Almost completely right. It is actually simply Phase 1 with no cap, so everyone can participate.

Regards,
Vlad

Thanks and do you only get a ledger wallet - if you deposit in ETH?

the project hasnt that much exposure at the moment, have you guys planned something to do about that?

We are actually quite happy with the exposure. But yes, there is much more to be done.

Regards,
Vlad

This start is much wonderful as per expectation so many people will show their trust on this team and it happened like that.

After contributing shouldn't it be possible to follow the contract and token in the ethereum client? Any directions on how to add it? The only thing I've found by poking around is the raw code on the contract but that isn't very helpful, was hoping to be able to see my AE tokens on the blockchain.

Currently, you can check your contribution using the Ethereum blockchain and/or in the tool close to the footer of the page.

These fast-grabbing money projects aka scams are getting more elaborated nowadays... But it´s easy to spot.

How can you get wrong the ETH/Aeter rate? Shouldnt be so complicated compared to the scope of the project. But what is more alarming is the fact that you can invest from any jusrisdiction without actually clicking on the accept terms and conditions -you can just send ETH to the address provided (same for everyone) and you will get your coins.

Those are going to be some expensive ledgers...

Thank you for taking the time to write this. We appreciate it. What a nice person Smiley

Congrats for this amazing response to phase 1 crowdsale as I think this is great decision to buy with bonus amount. In 2nd phase price will be much high for these tokens so I also spend some into this phase.

You can see your tokens on https://wallet.aeternity.com/ at the bottom - "Contributed already? Check your AE balance here"

And what if a contribution is in BTC?

Do I have to  input  160 characters   according  this step  :    Optional: Embed 160 character message for Æternity genesis block.

You can put a message that will become part of the history and will be forever written in the Genesis block. Your grandchildren will be able to read it. Do not write anything stupid there.

This is just my luck. So, I always thought my dad got his knees taken out at one of the first few practices . So, I put on the blockchain that he was a collegiate football player, and then his telecom supervisor position he retired from.  I mean, that's what you're supposed to say, right? If someone goes kinda far in a sport or hobby, you say they used to be a 'whatever' . Bob used to be an 'amateur boxer'. I know a guy who had 3 fights and got his ass whooped every time and calls himself a boxer. So, I figured no big deal to put dad as a collegiate athlete. Fuck. Fucking awesome amazing blockchain. I'm just kidding, I don't care, don't want it reversed, it's kinda funny. At least I'm the first SOB at something in life

Well, I went and gave him a call and told him I got him a little gift , (I donated 12.15 eth for him and had him confirm it with a multisig eth wallet) I did this thing for him and my mom, the date and place when they got married, etc.

And he tells me, after I posted it,  Son, don't put I played football  for that school on there...

æternity will be powered by the æternity token (AE symbol, also 'æon').

  • This æternity blockchain is used to settle the final outcome or to resolve conflicts that arise.

just have to point out you have some namespace collision against https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-aeon-2019-09-27-upgrade-to-version-01300-asap-hf1146200-oct-25-641696 which is a cryptonote implementation. Last time I looked at them their currency symbol was the same, too. Might cause trouble

Yes, we know about these guys. What can you do, happens Smiley

Vlad
