I don't quite understand how TECH's application works. Perhaps I need to continue to look at the white paper and get more detailed information.

https://medium.com/aid-tech/the-first-baby-born-on-the-blockchain-e457abd90b49

Aid:Tech in partnership with PharmAccess Foundation, undertook a project with the objective of establishing the efficacy of blockchain technology for addressing challenges surrounding the delivery of healthcare and maternal care in Tanzania. The initial pilot involved the provisioning of AID:Tech digital identity, to enable the tracking expectant women and their healthcare experience through their pregnancy journey by providing antenatal and postnatal care.  This has potential global level effects to healthcare.

Have you got a chance to check out the whitepaper just yet?
If not, you can do so here - Whitepaper: https://goo.gl/5d9NtS

There's a section starting from page 37 detailing some of the team's achievements so far, and its a good insight into the kind of changes the team are planning to make on a much larger scale globally over time. Personally, I am excited to see the teams efforts in tackling global issues that have persisted over many years, Blockchain technology has given a powerful new tool to companies just like AID:Tech, to go out and make real-world change.
