Ian and Jim are both respected community members in with their work on community governance, bounties, philosophising... also Jim's one of the kindest, most patient people out there.
Christian can smoke whatever he pleases as far as I'm concerned, ( I advise against crack, however ;-)  but  some decorum and professional behaviour would go a LONG way. He's proven to me that he's not yet mature enough for the roles he's assuming. To much juvenile drama.

He didn't steal anything, but he's asking for millions to be paid for "his" Rchain that he half developed while working as the CTO of Synereo.
He does not have access to any AMPs until he actually finishes a product though, so I consider this renegotiating a deal before a product is delivered.

He's very strong verbally ( so is Dor by the way, but he plays it differently ! ) and puts team members on the spot with questions like "Did I deliver working tech or not ?" which is unfair of course because a little bit of working tech doesn't make a working platform or software that's actually useful.

Greg is making it sound like there's no Synereo without him, which is crazy. He hasn't delivered anything. Here's what he did in my eyes ( i'll leave out the recent mess )

- Presented Synereo very well in interviews for podcasts and youtube shows. Very inspiring.
- Designed and explained super cool and advanced architecture like Rchain and SpecialK
- Not deliver on any of the above plans

So other than a great thinker and speaker ( which definitely counts for something ) we lost nothing except a HUGE money drain.

Now we have a big reputation hit because of all the drama, but this is crypto and we're kinda used to it. Synereo has strong devs other than Greg in the team already - Henry for example strikes me as very capable and level headed - and plenty of alternative chains to build on. Synereo has a lot of money now and like I said before : a LOT of room to grow. And as soon as there's an strong alpha release, AMP price will reah new all time highs and everyone will have forgotten about the current drama.

The sooner Greg leaves the better. His ego is just going to keep inflating the longer he stands on his soapbox. In fact I think we run a serious danger that his ego gets so large, so massive, that it collapses on itself and rips a hole in the fabric of space/time and we all get sucked into it Spaghettification !!!

Having failed to deliver a functional Special-K framework after all this time, IMO Greg is hardly in a position of force even if he poses as if it was the case. I'm calling it bluff. Why are people even listening to him at all? No one is irreplaceable. In any normal company he'd have been fired for lack of performance, not to mention putting the company's reputation in jeopardy by putting on the public place internal disputes and acting like a total jerk slinging mud publicly to the company's CEO. Sorry but I really don't see how he gets to walk away with half of investors money and create his own company with it.

I'm also puzzled about why would Synereo would want to use R-chain and finds itself in a unidirectional relationship where it would be entirely dependant on Greg's good will and effective (so far unproven) ability to actually deliver on his promise this time around on time and budget.

With the kind of money Greg is asking, why not go directly with a real blockchain company? I'm sure companies like Consensys, Cryptonomex or Eris would be very happy to take the challenge, and they can even hire Greg if they think they would be able to manage him. Plus Synereo would get to keep the intellectual property of the framework it contracted them to develop.

And even going fully Greg's (alleged) vision of "giving the technology to the world", a new framework and entity don't even make sense. Greg has been working with the Ethereum Foundation on Casper. Casper is all about scalability. If Synereo is to turn philantropic and spend its investor money on furthering technology for the common good, then the right thing to do is to donate the money to the Ethereum Fundation and have them add the features we need in Casper / Ethereum 2.0 or even create a completely new fork of Ethereum with functional capabilities. I'm sure Vitalik would be glad to oblige. And unlike Greg, the Ethereum Fundation has a track record of delivering on its promises. Hell, they even manage to work with Greg!

Dor, don't rush a deal with Greg. He is bluffing. With USD 4M+ in hand, you have many more options than him.
