"it has to go to where DRK is now"
Why is that?
It's only my small dream and maybe one day it will become a reality Smiley

This is not bad for UTC.
SHA and Scrypt ASIC, even Scrypt-N are a reality. If X11 ASICs start to roll out, UTC will be one of few ASIC free coins

DarkCoin has traded more value ($) than litecoin, http://coinmarketcap.com/, loosing only to bitcoins. This is new, will LTC fall for DRK?
I guess X11 ASICs are comming.

You were talking about the 24h Volume.. when it comes to total Market Cap by Available Supply, Darkcoin is still #7 and far from beeing a Litecoin killer Wink

Market Cap:
Litecoin:  $ 297,209,706
Darkcoin: $  24,357,742

But i thought this is the Ultracoin thread, so pls stick to the topic.

Damn DRK, looks like it's going to 1 BTC Wink When do we see UTC=DRK?
Where do you see DRK going to 1 BTC?
Just kidding, but who knows? Wink DRK is worth 3 times more than just a week ago and still going up.

I had 1 BTC of DRK because I liked the work they were doing on that coin, and held it for over a month and a half and all it did was go down 10%.  I traded it in to do some daytrading on other coins and literally the day later is started getting pumped to the moon.  It's worth 5x what it was when I dumped it.  Makes me sad.
That is just my kind of investing Smiley I sold some DRK which I had mined (and now it's worth 2x more) and then I bought UTC (and lost about 20%) Cheesy This must have taught you patience and long term investing Wink Maybe UTC will change our (bad)luck. UTC is cheap and unfortunatelly is getting cheaper, but some day it has to go to where DRK is now.

@DCgirl,

Just a thought...
In ultra-arb.com, would it be a good idea to create a projected transaction speed indicator for each coin being "arbbed".
Granted it seems that a straight coin arb transaction (example: VRT/crytpsy -> VRT/mintpal) is typically more profitable than say (example: VRT->BTC->UTC->BTC->VRT mintpal to cryptsy).
But if the investor had a projected transaction speed differential indicator shown. Would it help them realize what potential UTC has to help them get the order in the fastest?
Yet, I'm also still concerned with the exchanges. They seem to be the ones really slowing down the system. The other day I traded a coin from mintpal to cryptsy. It took about 20 minutes.
I heard cryptsy tweet a while back on their website that they were adding more nodes to speed up the transaction confirmations. Do you feel that they (all exchanges) will continue to increase their speed over time?

Thoughts?

yes - thats what that little gray box is for, I have that on my list of updates to make. It will be a guesstimate to be sure, but will factor in the confirmation time for the coin being moved (from bitinfocharts, i'm thinking), plus the daemon schedule for the exchange. I hope to have this change made soon.

Okay, awesome, thanks. Sorry I deleted my post accidentally. I hit the wrong button!

Team UTC is currently discussing the possibility of shortening the POS time to 3 months, with a percentage of 5.

We are now discussing the implications with the dev,and we will update you with following as soon as we can - changes that will be made, schedule of those changes and what that means to you..

+1
one year is too long in terms of internet/crypto

105K UTC order on mint.

I can see that at 0.00006601

Is it anyone in here?

Could be someone who cashed out of DRK. Been watching mint closely and haven't seen a buy wall this big. Good chance to get UTC price back to where it belongs, might be the confidence boost it needs.

It is getting eaten away bit by bit. We need some buy walls to come before it as support. I only have 4 BTC on mintpal, most of my BTC was spent picking up LTC at a good price.

Im watching closely.

It's getting bigger and moving up. I'm all in UTC but will be holding and watching. If nautilus recovers I'll dump mine and chip in.
