5. Additional modifications to wallet, to apply heartbleed fix, coincontrol and reward cutting. We expect this change to be in place within the next two weeks.

The change to add coincontrol will allow the user to "segment" his stash of coins, keeping the oldest coins available for proof of stake, and spending the newest. We have seen a preview of this function and are quite excited about what it offers.

The decision to cut rewards was made after input from the entire UTC community. In the short-term, this may have an effect on daily mining profits, but we believe that in the long-term it will lead to higher prices, negating any negative impact.

Cutting rewards also extends the lifecycle of UltraCoin, reducing supply and ensuring that all coins are not mined in just a few years.

5. Possible change to Proof of Stake schedule. We are also listening to the community to decide how the POS schedule should change. Most people agree that 1 year is too long. We will keep you updated as we think this through.

I personally want to thank all of the miners, pool operators and investors for sticking with UltraCoin. While we have many exciting changes and features in development, we recognize that we are at a critical juncture with the coin. I, and the entire UTC team, am 100% committed to the success of UTC and sincerely hope you will stay with me as we work to make this coin successful.

i have a question:

Is it possible to program a pool, which spread the hashrate? My idea is for example 50% normal utc pool and 50% multipool..
So i don´t know, if such a pool is possible and i also havn´t knowledge..it´s only an idea.

So when the blockreward decrease to 15 utc maybe the miners will get more utc for their hashrate with such a pool and we get also a litte buy support..

Maybe if u mine at nitro it is on the top list, otherwise it is not..so I moved my miner to another coin.

Few days ago ultracoin was netting me 5 dollars a day when other coins did 1,5 at most. Even if you go for 50% orphan it was still 2,5 vs 1,5.
Maybe you didnt take into account power savings?

Why does it connect to 0.0.0, i event tried adding nodes in the .conf

0.0.0.0 (IPv4) and :: (IPv6) is not what it is connected to but the address and port that the Ultracoin process is listening on. 0.0.0.0 means all addresses available on the machine, so for example loop back 127.0.0.1 and 192.168.0.2. Have you checked your software firewall? You might want to try adding outbound rules for the process (C:\program files\ultracoin-qt\ultracoin-qt.exe)

You can also use a command prompt and type netstat -anob

This will show all processes and associated TCP connections, for example this is mine:

So, how does your site handle coins at varying N factors? KH/sec isn't simply a matter of dividing by 2 everytime the N increases. Due to the increasing memory requirement, most GPU's need to sacrifice GPU speed for virtual memory (higher lookup gap).

Hey, of course not. I manually track this data. It will get tricky with time, but for now all scrypt-N are on the same boat - correct me if I am wrong.
