Marketing isn't all about an immediate pay-off, you basically want people to keep seeing and hearing 'Ultracoin' everywhere they go until they finally ask "What is this Ultracoin I keep hearing about?"

I don't do much on facebook, but I don't give a damn what my friends click "like" on.  If they say something about it, I'll read it though.  I'm not saying we go that far and make people talk about it, but you have to do more than have people randomly click "like" as it has become a meaningless action on facebook.  If you really want to make it mean something, have a contest between up and coming other alt coins and we can have a shared campaign to see who can have the most "likes".  We could do the same thing with a donation drive with other coins where we get an agreed upon cause that we would donate funds to.  

It's a way to get other crypto community members involved in coins they may not have looked at and gets your name in a positive light at the same time.  My point, along with my last post about promoting things to do with the coin (must be developed) when giving them away are paramount to making any giveaway worth something!  

I really don't know why you can't understand how to grow outreach.  

Scrypt-jane asics will be the next wave after scrypt is flooded?  What do you guys think?  Guess gpu mine this as long as we can.

More thoughts on how you can reward people:

upload a picture of your rig
upload a picture of a tweet you sent about utc
upload a video of yourself placing a utc buy order (I like this one)
upload a picture of your dog staring at your utc wallet

randomly guess the price of utc on a particular exchange at a particular date and time
join the utc forum and post at least 5 times
visit the website, take a screenshot and post it

create a video that shows how fast utc is
photoshop a picture of yourself wearing something that says UTC on it and post it

Oh - today is Dr. Suess's birthday, so, post a poem based on a Dr. Suess tale that uses UTC in some way

I hope this doesn't sound like I'm harping on the subject, but a social media campaign is about more than getting people to like a facebook page. Sure, that's step one. But what we need to encourage is interaction. Interaction is sharing information with others, posting things, discussing things. That's what we want to shoot for. So I really want to see us "design" our next campaign (after the random 250 giveaway) to do something else. What should that be? What would get people involved? What do we want them to do? That's the question. I've given mine, please share yours.

MintPal down lol...... a never ending story. People r afraid to pull there Money into this low end exchanges because we see in past many problems... we need to go on coin ex coins e or better Cryptsy .......

This is such a good idea - appeal to the general mining community, not just to those already involved in UTC. Two other suggestions (is anyone here skilled at creating compelling/funny/interesting videos?) - talk about all of the peculiarities of scrypt-jane, explain n-factor in an interesting way - basically take all of the discussions here and build a primer on scrypt-jane, then tweet about it. And do one for proof of stake - no one understands how it works.

Let the UTC community turn into the go-to community for understanding crypto.

yes, upload it in facebook. but that is direct tutorial how to mine utc, what i was proposing is a video tutorial how to setup a rig from old computers, for the newbies who doesnt know anything about mining and the promising rewards by doing it, and along the way of the tutorial include utc in the setup process. its not a job for you, but better with someone that has good english accent and a bit funny=)

Well, we could do just this, or we could be smart and try to make this more meaningful. What does a facebook like get you? Not much. Now, a facebook share or a twitter tweet gets you more. The chance to randomly get more UTC gets you more than just having one person get a chunk. Really, we need to mix things up a bit. We have this week's promotion - for one random person to get 250 UTC. We'll have more in the kitty after that, so what is the next promotion? I made some suggestions previously, I'm interested in what other people think.

I can kick in some UTC for the FB campaign!   Heh, only given away my UTC so far 

I've been trying to do what I can to help support with posts, voting, the quiz etc.   I do feel a bit bad that I cannot help on the FB / Twitter arena;  as I do not / will not sign up for those places. 
I tend to be very leary of signing up for tons of places.  Ironically, I've signed up for several from UTC (exchanges) I would not have otherwise and paid for it.  There has been too much scare from exchanges and me not selling coins;  so I keep coins in wallet.  I have not signed up for poloniex, binaryfund, coinmarket, mintpal;  etc;  so I cannot unfortunately help there if a giveaway is started.  Personally I'll wait until CT is back up or some trustworthy exchange. 

I tend to be a hermit and  minimalist, so overall I've done more posting here;  than ever before as well.  I'm that odd guy with no cell phone (never!!), no car, small place, etc.  I will always try to help where I can, but I may be limited via my methods of interaction. 

I'm getting the nerve to sign up for ultracoin forum, so I hopefully can help there soon also. 



On a side note:  some people posted buys @ 0.00008?!  was this true?  Most of what I purchased was @ 0.0006.  I hope not much was sold there as it may make 0.0006 too much return to get to.

I have still two open questions you did dent respond on. Partly, indirect, you answered.

Then secondly, there must be a good marketing plan, look what DCGirl wrote as suggestions.

So before anybody send their donations, first there must be a good and open plan so everybody knows what will happen with their donations and know their donations are spend well.

And as a suggestion:
I read good posts here, no fud, just serious (critical) comments.
But I see that same post almost directly in a view second being deleted.
Please stop with that because it looks like you cannot handle any critic or difficult question.
