Coins almost dead if no good news happens quickly there will be no coin to save

....i spoke today to some serious miners and traders...

Some did allready some research to step over to other coins like MaxCoin with mining.

I did myself today some research and the MaxCoin "community" including the DEV's seems to be much more active and the coin is starting to get a rising star after yesterday since it is getting on a big Chinese Exchange !!!

I am a believer in UTC, i mine with +60K  KH/s but there must be very soon some good news or i will step out and put my rigs on mining MaxCoin or some other coin, the same like more miners allready thinking of....

Wish to hear in two or three day good news or i say goodbaye...

Yeah the exchange sucks but it's hard to look past the fact that there are too many coins to sell. That's what you get when a gigantic premine gets sold for peanuts.

yeah true

A coin that's been "alive" for 4 weeks and already complaining.

an announcement done in the Crypto-trade offical thread, they say that tey are working on the speed, they will buy new servers and the change will be done in a few weeks, they have some surprises, i like this page, think they are a great team!

Who cares about crypto-trade! It's what killing the coin price. An Exchange so small a few individuals can manipulate the price at will.
We need a big proper Exchange asap

+1 i am a miner and i believe in this damn coin.

Deposit using a verified and correct address to Crypto-trade did NOT deposit. Others have commented not able to deposit UTC!?

Also, Blockexplorer is down to check transaction......

I'm happy to report:

Block explorer back up and going!! yay

Also, I DID receive my UTC.

I have been a member there now for 9 months.  I can gladly say now.  Still no issues with crypto-trade (deposits / withdraws)

i might have to buy a new harddrive and windows  to use this wallet.

I've no problems with this wallet, using old machine here Wink

I cant get it to run on my linux machine, but I run win 7 in virtual box and the wallet works just fine - no new equipment needed.

The provided binary is statically linked to specific versions of dependent system & other software libraries.  I was able to get it running by creating symbolic links for the libraries it was looking-for:

(in the respective files/directories)
# ln -s ./libminiupnpc.so.8 ./libminiupnpc.so.9
# ln -s ./libboost_system.so.1.46.1 ./libboost_system.so.1.49.0
# ln -s ./libboost_filesystem.so.1.46.1 ./libboost_filesystem.so.1.49.0
# ln -s ./libboost_program_options.so.1.46.1 ./libboost_program_options.so.1.49.0
# ln -s ./libboost_thread.so.1.46.1 ./libboost_thread.so.1.49.0

However, it is not generally recommended to do this, as if the program is dependent on certain features - you risk your wallet crashing and doing other potentially awful stuff.

Consequently, I resolved to get a Linux wallet to compile from the git-source, as available from the wallet page from the main ultracoin site.

http://ultracoin.net/wallet.html

On Ubuntu 12.04, I specifically needed-to:

- run "qmake" from the install directory ./ultracoin-master
- create a symbolic-link to the ./src/qt/res as ./res
- copy ./src/qt/res/icons/splash2.jpg to ./src/qt/res/images/splash2.jpg
- per the readme, install a lot of libraries on Ubuntu
   > by installing the latest libboost1.4.8-all-dev, it ended-up removing all previous versions of the libboost libraries.
   > on Ubuntu "libdb4.8++-dev" is just "libdb4.8-dev"
- I turned-on all the options I could see, when I ran "qmake"
   > # qmake "USE_UPNP=1" "USE_DBUS=1" "USE_QRCODE=1"

... and after all that, it runs just like the binary I initially "jury-rigged" to get running in the first place.  I mean, the compiled product perfectly emulates what they give, from showing an icon in the Unity display bar, in the upper-RHS, right down-to not listening on TCP/44101 for solo-mining, either!

OTOH, the days of solo-mining might just about be over anyways...

one more thing to look at - before reinstalling, go to control panel and see if ultracoin is on the list of installed programs. If so, uninstall it. Delete the appdata/roaming/ultracoin folder (assuming the wallet.dat file is empty, back it up if not). Then re-extract the files, and run the QT program. restore your wallet.dat if needed.

Deposit using a verified and correct address to Crypto-trade did NOT deposit. Others have commented not able to deposit UTC!?

Also, Blockexplorer is down to check transaction......

I just sent a 0.015 BTC deposit and it appears stalled also, verified on network and no funds on exchange

I don't know what's going on for sure.  There are at least 4 people having the same issue.  I have quadruple checked my address and if I were to try and deposit again;  it still shows the same UTC address?!

I really hope they get this fixed.

Crypto-trade's deposit addresses are different every time, be careful !!!

Btw block explorer has been fixed. Too many connection from site like coinmarketcap

Anyone know what's up with utc.pool.pm?  Last block over 7 hours ago  Undecided  If other pools/miners are having similar long rounds, could that indicate a problem with the blockchain?  Also, if no blocks are being mined, then maybe that's why there are issues with transactions-- no solved blocks to provide confirmations...?

Still finding blocks on Leetpools

same on nitro
