Ok, I did get the link for signup but then "Token expired, please try again" when i submited my info for sign up on the pool.

sounds like it needs libminiupnpc-dev or libminiupnpc
on ubuntu apt-get install libminiupnpc-dev
or compile with USE_UPNP=-
at the end
would that be qmake USE_UPNP=-
i have yacoin and mrc coin wallets installed so i have libminiupnpc8 installed

If you guys do not know how to solomine then you should not have waited till launch to try to figure it out. You could have experimented and figured out how to set it up on any other coin. I understand the frustrations but, SHEESH. It does suck that the pool is not open, we all would benefit from that, and there is not really an excuse, but hey, life ain't fair. 
Are you serious? Who's talking about settings? We're talking about scammers devs and scamcoin using solominers as a confirmations for their instamining blocks! They SUCK! BIG! Maybe life ain't fair as you say but the community must stay healthy. We'll continue this on Cryptsy ticket, you bet!
