with $144 million at the ICO, Bancor can't do this alone? They really need people to vote for them?

Hey Dave, the team was not asking. I am not certain if the user is from the exchange, but Bancor did not ask for the votes. We want users to use Bancor network, I think you can understand that  Smiley

If none of the stolen BNT coins where dumped... Then who committed the insider trading prior to the hack news being released to the public?

They weren't dumped, they were frozen. There was no insider trading. Tech savvy users may have noticed the breach before news was released. You can see the full remarks from the team below:

Quote
Earlier today, at approximately 00:00 UTC, Bancor experienced a security breach. We take this incident very seriously. We are committing every resource to resolving it, getting the network back online and tracking down the criminals involved.

The details of the breach are still being investigated, but we wanted to update the community with the facts that we have so far.

A wallet used to upgrade some smart contracts was compromised. This compromised wallet was then used to withdraw ETH from the BNT smart contract in the amount of 24,984 ETH (~$12.5M). The same wallet also stole:
229,356,645 NPXS (~$1M)
3,200,000 BNT (~$10M)

Once the theft was identified, we were able to freeze the stolen BNT, limiting the damage to the Bancor ecosystem from the theft. The ability to freeze tokens was built into the Bancor Protocol to be used in an extreme situation to recover from a security breach, allowing Bancor to effectively stop the thief from running away with the stolen tokens.

It is not possible to freeze the ETH or any other stolen tokens. However, we are now working together with dozens of cryptocurrency exchanges to trace the stolen funds and make it more difficult for the thief to liquidate them.

We will continue to post updates as and when appropriate on our Telegram channel and on Twitter. We appreciate your patience as we resolve this matter.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the team on the Official Telegram Group!

Permit me to enquire about the bounty program currently running in the bancor platform, i need to know what is the status of the bounty, zeex bounty campaign in particular,
i understand this is managed by bancor so am asking why there isn't any response or update from the Admin in charge of Zeex? I head zeex bounty on bancor has been discontinued but i couldn't find such update in the bancor platform, any idea about this Admin? Thanks.

Zeex bounty is on the Bancor Web App, but is run by Zeex. Best to ask the Zeex team directly.

And also @dmin is it only coin listed tradeble from my wallet can be traded on ur platform?Or only listed coin on ur platform
Only tokens listed on bancor platform are tradable, you can't trade just any token that is available on eth blockchain.

There have lot of things changes in last few years. This is process of evolution if look at this by the point of view of Bancor that is becomes lot more easier to understand though having concept of complete decentralization in mind makes it little difficult to accept at this stage. I am sure in few months or let's say year or two people will be thinking other way.

Sounds like you have a question. Please let us know if we can help.
