Unfortunately we have been hanging tight for a great while now. Hoping for better days in the near future..
Everything is it seems correct and investors wait for growth from this coin for a long time. I think after all best of all smooth growth, than to observe rapid growth and then fast falling of the price. The more smoothly usually growth, the it is steadier and more long in the future. And now perhaps good point for purchase of additional coins. After all large volumes on the market did not return yet. Maybe we will see a new flow of users and buyers soon. Still waiting for the bancor app to go live they’ve can’t stay with their own eta or publish it asap. Last I heard it should be on end of January.

However, at the moment you don't actually need an account on Bancor to buy/sell and convert tokens. You can do so from a Web3 wallet such as Metamask.

I guess the real step forward will happen when Bancor will be ready also as a gateway to FIAT and for inter-chain transactions. Then the range of ESSENTIAL functions will be complete. Until then Bancor may possibly suffer the fact of being subordinated to the Ethereum platform.

Token price drop from ath 10$ to now $3 when can we expect decoupling from eth? 
Cross-chain is in the works and new token integrations are occurring on a regular basis. Stay tuned. Bancor is just getting warmed up....

Never. It will always be pegged to ETH. Team knows this issue, and they will do nothing.
