Do you have a Referral Program? That is, do you reward us for bringing investors?

Bitcoin RM is a full PoW coin.
There is no fund raising or ICO, so currently no intention for referral program.
There already quite a lot negative thoughts regarding referral since referral program may cause a lot of spam.
We don't want to be banned from this forum due to discord referral or other types of referral spam thread.

Hi PNToken

Bitcoin uses IPv4 and/or IPv6 addresses. Unless you take external measures to anonymize, these IP connections make Bitcoin pseudo-anonymous  Smiley And, lets not forget the outbound DNS connections to DNS seed servers! Bitcoin is certainly more anonymous than, say, Paypal or wire transfer.

As a fork of Bitcoin, we are no more or no less anonymous than Bitcoin  Grin
Our goal of this fork is not to increase/decrease the level of anonymity but to empower Retail Merchants. And to allow people to easily launch a business and become a Retail Merchant. When Paypal (and other money transmitters) came into existence, it made it easier for consumers to send/receive money. But these methods still made life difficult for the small businesses. Now, we have crypto currencies. And, a lot of greedy companies are trying to intervene for their cut, again making life difficult for the small business owners in that process. (Please talk to us on Discord. Tell us how we can better achieve our goals. We welcome criticism too)

Who said "We are against the participation of US residents"?

  • We will not allow USA users of Bitcoin to claim our coins after the fork. It is the USA govt that is against such claiming; not us!
  • We want participation from USA residents. Come join our growing community. Give us your feedback and suggestions. If you are a Retail Merchant, talk to us. Or, ask our help if you want to start a small business

Bitcoin is an anonymous coin, if you are against the participation of US residents, then is your coin not anonymous?

Hi

No airdrop. Too many conflicting laws and regulations in USA. Until courts / congress formally declare clearly, we will not assume that they are legal in USA. SAFT contracts, once thought safe, are currently questioned and repackaged into security tokens in USA. Yes, there are many regulating agencies in USA: CFTC, SEC, IRS, FINRA, NFA, FinCEN, States. If the issuer gains something of value (marketing, better exposure etc) by forking, ICO, faucet or Airdrop involving USA entities, it is subject to laws of USA. We cannot afford to assume something is legal just because others have done it. At the same time, we can't afford to hire an army of lawyers in USA.

Cryptos are not completely legal in USA. In fact, only two things are absolutely safe for USA persons:

  • Dealing in cryptos on licensed crypto Exchanges in USA for personal use
  • Earning cryptos as inheritance or compensation for work done

Why no USA? Forks and airdrops are perfectly legal in USA.

Hi @Photographer Smiley

How did you manage an awesome username on this forum  Grin

It is not an Airdrop! We are not giving away any freebies. When our code is based on Bitcoin, it is a Bitcoin fork. Therefore, BTC owners have the right to claim our coins. Now, we have to restrict USA users because of USA laws and regulations. Trust me, it is a very difficult decision to do this.

I suggest that you file a petition with USA government if you do not like their laws and regulations. While we cannot accept claims from BTC users from USA, we are not totally excluding them. In fact, we will support USA users who want to become a merchant, or already merchants or simply want to work for us.

I guess there is a huge quantity of BTC owned by USA residents, just think at the Winkelwoss twins, or the 1 M coins of Satoshi Nakamoto. This ban is making the Whole concept of a fork quite inconsistent. You can call it an airdrop, you shouldn't call it a fork.

Well said @mySmile28  Cool

That is why we are a smart fork. Now, it is the community that decides if and when forks stop. Granted, some forks are quite meaningless and unnecessary. But, so what? It is a fundamental human right to express your opinions, thoughts and ideas, no matter how meaningless and unnecessary those thoughts are  Grin

It is one of the greatest benefits of Open Source movement that allows everyone to freely exercise this basic human right. Long before crypto became popular, people were forking open source projects hundreds of times each month! How do you think GitHub became so popular?

You have to keep in mind that not everyone can afford Bitcoin. Not everyone can contribute to Bitcoin and each crypto has its own positives and negatives. But, we as a human beings, keep trying to do the right thing...trying to do things better. We cannot guarantee that our fork will be successful. There is a risk that community will not receive it well. (So far, we are receiving a lot of positive support from community).

Please come hang out with us on Discord. I believe you will be a great contributor!

these forks of bitcoin will ever end?

Hi Basaleyi

We actually invite criticism. So thank you for the comment  Grin
Now, lets address your baseless allegations.

When our code base is Bitcoin, should we wrongly claim that we are independent project? That would be misleading! Or, do you suggest that we claim that we are a fork of another project...that would be fraud. It is unfortunate that you are making baseless allegations without checking facts. How is it a scam when we are not asking money or coins from anybody? You are simply disgruntled and jealous because we are actually trying to do something rather than simply complaining. Complaining is easy. Trying to actually do something is not.

We never ask anybody for money or anything of value. There is no fund raising or ICO. Did you know that we are reaching out to community directly, without paying any middleman (service provider) or marketing agency? We are long term crypto experts and our project has been in the works since December 2017. If you actually checked facts or even the first pages of our white paper, you will now what our purpose is. If you do not believe in our mission, you can simply ignore us.

This is not the thread to complain about Bitcoin Gold. Yes, we are aware of the questionable practices of Bitcoin Gold in the past, and we are not using any of those. We are not secretly postmining. We are not secretly creating a pool with hidden Dev fee. We have no outside investors to control us. We make everything transparent. Our White Paper is actually a list of facts, not some boring info like "fulfulling Satoshi's vision" etc. So, stop comparing us to Bitcoin Gold. (Personally, despite all the past hiccups, we believe that Bitcoin Gold is a legitimate project that benefits the community just like any other cryptos. We support bitcoin, alt coins and the entire crypto industry. Otherwise, we would not be here in the first place).

Are you a disgruntled middleman? We rejected a lot of middlemen offering to promote our project. If you are truly a crypto user unaffiliated with any service provider, middleman or propagandist, we welcome your thoughts and ideas on how to be successful in our project. Please chat with us on Discord. But if you are here to simply promote your secret agenda of scaremongering, please get lost.

Another fork use bitcoin name and blockchain without a clear purpose aim to collect money and run away , right now we have clear scam project that was hyped from lots of investors (bitcoin gold ) .
please stop creating fork from bitcoin blockchain and start new coin with innovative ideas .
