I love the service.  But I also think it leaks data.

Any particular page(s)?

I like bfxdata but I'm unable to get the graph(s) for the BTC/USD relationships. All I see is the little spinning dial and it never resolves to a graph. All the other graphs work fine. Please advise?

Which page?

I was wondering, is it possible to download the historical data in a file ?

I've been asked this before and am planning to add an option to export data as csv, just hadn't had a chance to build it

This site is Grin  amazing  Grin, thank you for all your great work BJORNW!

I am also looking for the historical swap data, it is not available on bitcoincharts... have you had the chance to make it available?

I've added a csv-data page a wile back : http://bfxdata.com/datadownload

So on bitcoincharts, I would go to each day and download the minute data and then consolidate.  Thanks for the suggestion - it may take a long time (since they don't let you download to large of a batch at once) but it is a solution!  Smiley

I'm not sure to understand what you meant there, what have "days" to do with what I suggested?

A trade level file contains info about all trades that were completed on the exchange.
Bitcoincharts allows to download the file all at once, google for "bitcoincharts api csv".

I would like to get per minute close price data on bitfinex for btc/usd for the life of the exchange.  Can anyone help point me in the right direction to get this data?  Thanks.

The best I found about it is the full trades file from bitcoincharts, you get that and resample it to the time frame you want.

Bfxdata doesn't provide an actual data feed but metrics on those.

Could you track swaps closed in the past 1 hour and 24 hours?  You might be able to calculate it based on the swaps now, swaps one hour ago, and opened swaps in the past hour.

It might be nice to compare swaps opened vs swaps closed for the past hour and 24 hours.

Since the recent update to the main/live USD swap stats page I've been having trouble with one of the scripts sporadically locking up and putting my whole browser (Firefox v34.0.5) into a "Not Responding" state until the script is killed or the tab is closed. I would ordinarily leave it open in a background tab but after a while everything freezes up for a moment then Firefox asks me if I want to halt/continue/debug "Script: http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.11.1/jquery.min.js:2"

I'm sure I've also seen some oddities where the 'Total' column in the swap offers table doesn't match up with the graph, but I've yet to really catch that one in action to properly document it.

Thanks for the feedback, thought I tested it thorough enough, but missed some bugs Wink. I slightly modified the scripts. Think it should be better now. It doesn't highlight new or removed offers/demands for now, as that was the bottleneck. Will look into that later

The conspiracy theories about who "bjornw" really is?

What conspiracy theories??? Isn't bjornw an alias for Satoshi N  Grin? Thanks for your kind words!

Man, where are the people bitching about minor missing features they could add themselves?  The conspiracy theories about who "bjornw" really is?  The flamewars about Bitfinex vs Bitstamp vs the Chinese exchanges vs the Fed?  This thread is all just love and appreciation and a whole bunch of excellent hard work.  Internet, you're losing your edge.

Superb site!  THANKS BJORN!

Today I've added a page serving csv files for quite a few BFXdata parameters

Let me know what variables you want to see added.

I think it'd be great if you could add the total dpeths of order books in the "widgets" on first page.
Will consider it, but so many other things todo Smiley

Are the widgets embeddable in external website?

Nope, I might build something like that, but will be a low priority for now

Hey there!

1: show the price in the tab view.

2: chances of an OSX widget for dashboard?

1) you mean when you have multiple tabs open in your browser, the title of the tab displays the current price right? Already on my todo list
2) Never made a os x widget before, however you could make your own custom widget by using (in safari) 'file' -> 'open in Dashboard' -> select the part of the page you like as a widget in your dashboard -> 'add' et voila! your very own bfxdata widget Smiley Just tested it myself, works really well, was a bit surprised myself how useful it is Smiley thanks!

Hey there!

Awesome job with the info. It's amazing and I have it open on my browser constantly.

2 suggestions on my end

1: show the price in the tab view.

2: chances of an OSX widget for dashboard?

Those are just my 2 cents Smiley

Good job!
