Why open the thread with the option of "self-moderated". It smirks a lot of shadiness and will raise a lot of doubt in the minds of people considering the fact that there he V1 of the project turned to be a scam and you decided to take over the project. People should be free to air their minds and opinion about the project without the fear of their posts being deleted by you.

As a previous bitmoney version 1 investor, I am happy to see a community take over. Whilst I may not be technical enough to contribute in terms of development I will look to contribute in other ways.

hopefully the Bit Money V2 can erase the failure and downfall of the bit Money and the bit Money V1 of the working system that has been updated. the new dev team and new members will be the biggest supporters of the change in the fate of bit money. good luck and still give the best.

The new agenda or strategy for Bit Money will be to begin to create our own eco-system by offering services built on and powered by - Bit Money. We believe the only way to survive in this maze of crypto currency's, will be to set ourselves apart from the rest of the pack. As we all know, almost all crypto has no real world use. This is most dev teams plague. Sure some promise this an that and it sounds good on paper and in theory, but most never make it that far to completion.
Lets first assess what we do have. We have a very unique and very effective wallet in terms of lightning fast transactions, a fair and balanced rewards system that rewards those for operating a masternode better than those who choose to stake. But both can earn by holding, which drives up price by removing coins from circulation and trade. We also have a stepped collateral which also helps achieve the above. Along with an ever growing masternode count that continues to lock up more coins. We are doing well there. We now have 4 working exchanges, and as we begin to bring life to this agenda and gain strength and momentum, a larger exchange will come in due time. We have to establish ourselves as a credible project. We also have a vast and growing network of partners such as numerous MN hosting sites and we are listed with most major coin trackers. These all are significant in the success of a coin.
---As of now, we have a very competent, capable and creative core dev team. You know who they are. We now have the talent to develop this Road Map when compared to where we were in the early days. Each one will have their part to play in this agenda development - from the code to website presence and marketing. We also have a very loyal community who has really stuck with it, despite the ups and downs and uncertainty of "whats next" we all have experienced this feeling along the way. But without the community support, we are nothing and dead in the water.
Is this Road Map even possible? I believe yes. We are limited only by our own willingness to make it happen. From a technical standpoint it can be done. Will there be snags? sure more than likely. Can they be overcome and worked through? Yes. Do we really have the skills in the core dev team to do this? Yes. Do we have the marketing team and creativeness to get the word out? Yes. Do we have a knowledgeable community in place to support this and keep our Bit Money Network strong fast and healthy? a big yes!
When we step back and remove the obstacles and look at each item individually its not so big of a challenge. I feel we need to think outside the box and go big or we will go bust. As of this Road Map, if everyone stays committed, we can begin right away to start to create our own eco-system. Remember the bigger and stronger we get in development, price will follow. Crypto Investors love growth and and progress towards a projects goals being met on time. This will be the challenge.
---There is more we could add to this Road Map should we get ahead of schedule. The agenda now is wide ranging from entertainment such as Bitlotto to helping the needy through a donation system powered by BIT Money. We have to make these all become reality. Resulting in users with older version wallets, new wallets, loss of coins, stuck coins on exchanges and so on. Also, by changing wallets, it forced all MN owners to purchase an additional 140,000 coins up from the original collateral of 70,000 coins in order to continue their nodes. The increased collateral was a last ditch attempt effort by the dev to right a sinking ship and get a handle on the rapid over abundance of coins. Ultimately however, it only set the owners back even more in their investments due to the increased collateral and produced no effect on the falling price.
Immediately after the Sept 18th wallet upgrade, the dev became non existent in the widely used Discord server and had made no attempt to update the Bitcointalk ANN announcing the change leaving all users very little info on where to go or how to upgrade to the new wallet as mentioned. It was then that the community began to be made aware of a possible scam with Bit Money as the Bit Money dev had been linked to other scam coins such as Linex-Pay and others. By that time the price had fallen to 1 sat and Escodex had been waiting for guidance on the wallet upgrade and had actually frozen all BIT trades as a result. There was no communication from the dev. Crex24 also had experienced problems and confusion and a lack of communications from the dev. Other services MNO and others where reporting incorrect data on the Bit Money MN's as a result as well.
It had become clear that the coin Bit Money was dying and that the dev had abandoned the project. There was ZERO communication after V1 wallet launch by the dev. Which brings us to where we are now. In the midst of the mass confusion and despair, it was suggested by one of the MN owners in Discord to possibly begin considering a Community Take Over of the coin. Although the notion was first disregarded, others took note. Over the next few days, and only after several last attempts to reach out to the dev for help, did the reality of a take over become plausible. Most of us new we would have to have a dev to help recreate Bit Money and help us all as masternode owners - the community. Amongst us as with many coin projects and in our group of 300 masternodes, was a dev as well as other creative players that also wanted to see Bit Money continue on, as we were a strong community of 300 MN owners and needless to say were holding a lot of devalued Bit Money.
So it was quickly decided that all MN owners who wanted to be part of the Community Take Over to move to a new Discord server and voice their opinion and interest. This was an almost immediate response by all owners and a big "thumbs up" to move forward with a new project. At the same time the previous dev began to turn out all the lights on the old project. Shutting down the Discord server, official website, and other related services under his immediate control. With that said, it was a done deal. Which leads us to where we are now, and what is termed the Project Phoenix, in part, to separate ourselves from the original Bit Money.
A NEW wallet, chain and coin is now up and running. Bit Money V2!! With the fast work of our new dev team and other group member's who have worked tirelessly to make it happen in less than 1 week of the Community Take over - Project Phoenix.
