We don't have control over external pools. You can do mining on your own:
In the wallet go to help -> debug window -> console and then type setgenerate true or setgenerate true 1 to use just one thread (Keep Your CPU partly free) To check mining status the command is getmininginfo
Maybe it's okay. Already start balancing. They probably have a setup error. So we'll see.

why are you using onion extension?
There us confusion because of the name of this coin which let impression about being another fork of Bitcoin. I think OP should clearly mention that this coin will be started from zero with fresh start and has nothing to do with Bitcoin fork. I will be watching for more to come out over the next few days to have better understanding.

Is it going to be another one BTC hard fork?
I don't think this is hard fork of original bitcoin so that we have no chance to get free coins anymore but there are some premine coins for bounties purpose. This coin have different block reward that's why I'm quite sure about that.
