ASIC's for scrypt are already on market. So what the real difference from the original Bitcoin?
It is NOT "Minable By Anyone".

The original developer committed to change the algorithm if scrypt asics ever became available.  Discussion is already underway to do this for bitcoin scrypt, but the community will put it to a vote using their decentralized voting system.  If you want more info about this coin the main site for information is at https://cryptocointalk.com/forum/411-bitcoin-scrypt-btc/.  Thats where the community for this coin developed because it was censored here.

Bitcoin Scrypt (BTCS) now is www.coinmarketcap.com

This version of Bitcoin increase its price, and you'll get big eyes and mouth open. But it is still not too late to get some.

Having issues downloading the windows wallet (which I guess is irrelevant if there is nowhere to trade this coin).

You can trade the coin at allcrypt.com and cryptorush.in

http://theotherbitcoin.com/
and
http://bitcoinscrypt.org/

have the 1.2 wallet downloads and they both work fine.  what issues are you having?

Hi,

Would this coin be interested in a pool offered by LeetPools?

Here is an example of one of the DDOS protected mining pools we run:

http://ultra.leetpools.com

seems like you guys could use some extra mining pool infrastructure Smiley

It would be great to spread out the hashrate, especially since it has gone up the last few days.

maybe the thought behind the name is that you don´t have to reinvent the wheel.

there are so many coins with exotic and strange names....

i think the motives are easy comprehensible and the idea to keep it decentralized are well-conceived, too.

Why dont u guys choose another name?

rename it. there is nothing useful for your coin in the future while using bitcoin's name.

I like the decentralization with ASIC-resistance. Mining it.
The pool needs some tweaking though. Goofs up in reporting correct state of all workers. And where the hell is the manual payout button? Grin
