Great update, but why it doesn't seem to show any of the images for those listings
Thanks for the feedback, images are now included in the RSS feed.

Considering that both are volatile in nature, I think dynamic prices would benefit sellers/buyers more.
Sellers can choose to set prices in fiat (or gold/silver) with dynamic conversions to crypto, or directly in crypto (the option to set static crypto prices was requested).

Great update, but why it doesn't seem to show any of the images for those listings [it'd be nice to not leave the RSS reader app unless there's a need to directly interact with bitejo]?

Coming next:
- Set a static Bitcoin or Monero price for your products.

Fido Escrows preview:

Members can sign up as an escrow mediator, set their own terms, limits and fees, and build reputation via customer reviews.

Traders can select an escrow mediator and use 2-of-3 Bitcoin multisig escrow with the built-in web wallet or an external Bitcoin wallet.

For successful trades, the buyer can release funds to the seller without involving the mediator. In case of a dispute, the buyer can ask the mediator for a refund. Due to the 2-of-3 multisig, the mediator doesn't have sole control over the funds.

Grupo Groups preview:

Users can start public or private groups for their hobby, city or profession with group-only listings (classifieds, jobs, fundraisers and exchanges) and discussion forums. Examples: a Bitcoin buy/sell group for New York City or a Bitcoin artists group.

Bitvendo Federated Marketplace preview:

Bitvendo is an upcoming free and open source federated marketplace platform. Easy to install and customize like WooCommerce with federation like Mastodon.

Setup a single-vendor online store or a whitelisted/open multi-vendor marketplace with a one-click install – a basic VPS or Raspberry Pi is enough. Choose to support products, jobs, fundraisers or exchanges, plus Bitcoin, Monero or cash payments. If you don't want to self-host, you can list your products in an open multi-vendor marketplace (e.g. Bitejo.com).

Customers only need one account to shop in all federated stores, find products in a global search and make use of reputation and reviews. Buyers can use a regular web browser, no need for specialized software or an additional extension.

The open source codebase (PHP, SQL) makes it easy for devs to edit, extend and fork the marketplace.

Bitvendo aims to make it easier to build Bitcoin-friendly alternatives to Amazon, Ebay, Upwork, Fiverr, Uber, AirBnB, Kickstarter, GoFundMe and more – no technical knowledge required.

I do like your plan to implement a 2-of-3 multi-sig setup with escrow providers, but by allowing other members to sign up as escrow providers, you're basically giving them the chance to use an alt account, a friend, or an accomplice to trick the system [you might want to reconsider that part].

Thanks for the feedback.

The idea is that mediators who already offer escrow services in Bitcointalk, Bitrated, Telegram, etc. can also offer them in Bitejo. For security, established mediators can choose to add a PGP/Bitcoin signed message to their profiles or escrow listings. It's more efficient to allow members to sign up as mediators and build trust via customer reviews than to recruit and hire specific whitelisted mediators.

How it works: Bitcoin escrow is optional. Direct Bitcoin, cash and Monero trades are also possible. Mediators can create escrow listings with min/max limits, fees and terms. When ordering from a seller, the buyer suggests an escrow listing and the seller can view this escrow listing, read the reviews, then accept or decline the order. This means that both traders can decide if they trust the mediator. The mediator can also accept/decline escrow requests. Every escrowed order includes a chatbox that the buyer, seller and mediator can use, which can help to solve disputes. After the trade, the buyer and seller can review the mediator or in the case of a scam, report the mediator. If the mediator scams, their listings and account will be deactivated, but Bitejo is unable to restore lost funds or products.

Unfortunately fake reviews and collusion are still possible, but even Paypal and Amazon have problems with chargebacks, disputes and fraudulent returns. As long as both the buyer and seller trust the mediator, 2-of-3 multisig escrow provides better security than a non-escrowed trade, e.g. in case the seller doesn't send the product or the employer doesn't pay the freelancer.

Fido Escrows update:
Fido Escrows is under development.

Fido Escrows uses 2-of-3 multisig addresses to keep traders safe. Members can signup as escrow mediators for Bitcoin trades and set their own terms, limits and fees. For successful trades, the buyer can release funds to the seller without involving the mediator. In case of a dispute, the mediator decides whether to refund the buyer or release funds to the seller, but has no direct access to the funds. Traders can rate and review mediators.

Grupo Groups preview:
Grupo Groups is under development.

With Grupo Groups, members can create their own public or private groups, which include a forum and group listings.

Examples:
- A buy/sell group for musical instruments with Merkado Classifieds group listings
- A graphic design agency with Tasko Jobs group listings
- Community fundraisers for local schools with Kuno Fundraisers group listings
- A general group for your city, with local Bitcoin classifieds, jobs, fundraisers and exchanges

Federated Platform preview:
A federated open-source platform named Bitvendo is under development.

The federated platform allows sellers and communities to host their own customizable marketplaces for classifieds, jobs, fundraisers or exchanges. Marketplaces can decide which listing types and payment methods to support. Marketplaces can be open to all sellers or only allow selected seller(s). Marketplaces can be private or federated. Federated marketplace listings display in a global search and members can use one account across all federated marketplaces. Members can access marketplaces via a regular web browser, with no need to install additional software.

The platform will be easy to install/configure and extensible via themes and plugins (no technical skills required). It is based on PHP/MySQL/Apache and can be hosted on any VPS, Raspberry Pi or other server.

The Bitejo.com website will remain active and supported as a federated marketplace.

I was looking at something like 2FA authentication using another app like Google Authenticator or Authy.

Support for 2FA apps will be added in the future. Thanks for the offer, I will let you know when the marketing starts.

Announcing basic Monero support:
Bitejo now supports Monero payments.

Right now, Bitejo doesn't have an integrated Monero web wallet. Members must use an external wallet, such as the Monero GUI desktop wallet or the Cake Wallet mobile wallet.

Members can accept Monero payments in New Listing -> Pricing and link their Monero address in Profile -> Account Settings.

Due to the private Monero blockchain, members must check their wallet themselves to make sure that the correct amount has been sent and confirmed, before they complete their trade.

A built-in Monero web wallet is planned for the future.

Trusted external Monero wallets:
Monero GUI/CLI Wallet for Windows, Mac and Linux

Cake Wallet Mobile Wallet for Android and iOS

MyMonero.com Web Wallet

I offer bitcointalk promotion (you can check the link below my avatar image on the left). Feel free to connect if you need any help on marketing the product. I would love to work together.

Edit:
So the 2FA actually send a code to the email. I was looking at something like 2FA authentication using another app like Google Authenticator or Authy. Sometimes an email can be hacked and using the same email the hacker can easily get access of the accounts. The benefit of using those kinds of 6 digit authentication by third party app is that you can ask the user to wait 15 days before resetting their authentication code in case they lose the authentication code they had active with the system.
