definatly too high if another card is behind the card with the sink.. in a full setup I would suggest heatsinks with an height of 10-max15mm

The height of that heatsink is 20mm - the space between h-boards is 20mm.  It might fit, but it would impede circulation even if it did.

Thanks!
Although every 10min?

I am only experiencing this issue with Slush's pool, all others been running fairly stable.
Yes, I'm on Slush's. I thought that it is a local proxy problem and that it would be the same with other pools. It seems now that the problem may be on the Slush's end.
I had to reset BF miner for my hashrate dive down low and first time I had to do it.

There is something wrong with the calculations on Slush's pool.  I finally just had to leave - haven't had the problem on other pools.

Ten minutes seems a bit much for the reset - I went with /30 for every 1/2 hour...

Someone may find this useful... If your pool reports your hashrate dropping regularly DESPITE bitfury admin showing steady noncerate:

1) ssh into your pi
2) run command: crontab -e
3) add this line at the end of file:
Quote
*/10    *       *       *       *       sudo /opt/bitfury/start-stratumproxy.sh
4) save & exit

It will restart your stratum proxy every 10 minutes from now on. If you want to cancel it, just run the command again and delete the line.

do you have a dummy load/short for the mobo detection circuit? without it a psu will not turn on, or will quickly turn back off
To my limited knowledge, there is no "mobo detection circuit". There is only "/PS_ON" - green wire that should be shorted to GND if you want the PS to be turned ON. If the PS is turned OFF, it does not provide 12V on any rail.

same thing, different jargon Wink

Is there anyone who can confirm/deny that C05I and C04I on the M-card are supposed to be soldered together on one side?
My M-Card apparently doesn't work (powersupply auto-shuts within less than 1 sec after powering on), although I don't see any of the "known possible defects" (http://imgur.com/a/t3AKx) on the card, except the C05I and C04I soldered together on one side.

Some pictures here:

http://www.void.be/tristan/bitfury/bitfury_m_2.jpg
(C05I and C04I are the 2 lower condensators in the group of 4 in the middle of the picture)

Does anyone know if I can just send my board back, or what the normal course of action is? (I used the bitfurystrikesback contactform yesterday but haven't received a reply yet)

Thanks

They aren't supposed to touch each other, but it's not a problem because they are wired in parallel on the board.

How can I stabilize the stratum proxy and share difficulty (I'm assuming it's ok to assign somehow a fixed number once I know which one works best) ?

Reported noncerate on my Bitfury Admin page keeps dropping out of nowhere and I have to keep restarting it every 2-3 hours. Only then does it gets fixed. That proxy seems so damn fickle and unstable even at a perfectly controlled, constant temperature. Worst than my girlfriend swinging mood.

Here is an example of the log running at 440 GH/s, it tends to jump up and down a bit but most of the day so far it has sat around 445.   It seems to drop once I log in with putty.

Unbelievable! You have very good H-cards. I admit I was wrong.

Auto tune is also working exactly as it should be: every chip at 55, even the bad ones. I wonder why the dead chips aren't at zero but it looks like it doesn't really matter.

Hi,
every night my bitfurys stopped working on eligius pool...but in the web interface stand the correct hashing rate...
everyone else has this problems? i must shut down, restart it some time than it works again...

Has happened to me couple of times on Bitminter.
Same here, different pool. You may not need to restart the whole miner. Restarting the proxy seems to fix it in my case:

sudo /opt/bitfury/start-stratumproxy.sh

I am not using any sort of mod.   Just an open air case designed by spotswood and 6x coolermaster silent fans.   I may have just gotten a lucky batch of chips.

I would really like to see your .stat.log file. Can you upload it to pastebin and send me a link?

Without any proof I can not believe that anyone is getting as much as 450 GH/s from 16 H-cards, unless they are modified.
