Yea we can safely say that it is kind of an airdrop. The active node(those who run the node) are just randomly picked throughout the weeks. The exclusion is those who run nodes behind Tor or maybe using the different ports of the node are excluded. @OP stated that the crawler does not support crawling an onion node. And I tried to run it using a different port but I can't even see my node on https://bglcontest.bitaps.com/nodes_list.

Though, I don't particularly know about the system behind it, like I mean, the provable randomness of the chosen node is just not stated clearly.

Is anyone know does the picking process could be provable or show me any code for it?

The transaction contest system is just finding an address that has the most of transactions throughout the week.

For the user side, it means that you need to make a transaction as many as possible to get the reward. Nevertheless, I assume that the past winner of tx contest doesn't make a transaction meaningfully, they maybe just sent a tx to themselves. I didn't say that it is wrong since there is no specific rules/policy about that contest. After all, BGL has a burning mechanism for the txs fee.

Holding BGL on the wallet does not give you any reward. If you seek for passive income, you might want to look about wrapped BGL, it gives you a staking mechanism and liquidity mining on Pancake swap/Uniswap, but I don't have any experience with that, so I couldn't say very much about it.

The hashrate of the network is stable, new blocks are made according to the protocol, 10 confirmations are needed to deposit for DigiFinex exchange. I don't understand why you and other users are having problems... In case of a delay in the deposit, I recommend writing to the support of the exchange. There are no problems by the side of the BGL blockchain.
