So, if you're against decentralization and censorship, why does your moderator keep removing thumbnails?

You mean _for_ decentralization and against censorship, right?

Copyright infringement is against the law, I'm sure you know this so if you're trying to be smart, try harder. If you mean those pornographic thumbnails and profile pics, just think for a second. Those get us thrown off the android and apple appstore, same goes for copyrighted stuff. It's already happened once and lawyers are bloody expensive. Right now we move everything pornographic to xxx.bit.tube anyway so it doesn't show on normal bit.tube or the app. We don't actually remove videos unless we have to.

Yep, sorry, I meant centralization.

Nope, neither one of them (pornographic thumbnails and profile pics).

But anyway, I see there's no point of arguing here.

Started out pretty nice, I truly believed in this project from the very start, I even did a translation of this thread.

But, as it turns, you're not much different from viuly.

And there's no need to treat me like a person uploading copyrighted content just because I asked a simple question.

Cheers!

How passive aggressive. At least provide some examples so we might understand each other. Tell us where we have wronged, and we'll correct it.

But if all you're interested in is virtue signaling your moral high ground, you've rather overestimated yourself.

This gave it away. It isn't true in the slightest and you know it. Try again.

Cheers!

does anyone know the remote node?
seed3.bit.tube:24182

if you install the latest wallet https://github.com/ipbc-dev/bittube-wallet-gui/releases from scratch it actually selects a remote node by default.

No why would anyone put video on a blockchain? A blockchain is just a very, very slow database, this would be horrible.
Our blockchain is used for the cryptocurrency TUBE. The video data is on IPFS, it's decentralized storage sort of like bittorrent but more advanced. Everyone on bit.tube is a storage node instantly, it works automatically in the browser. That's the magic trick, you don't have to download anything.
As for your question, videos can be unpublished when they violate copyright, we have to abide by the law, we don't want to end up like the pirate bay. But this is a centralization and censorship issue so later we want to put the community in charge of copyright review & reports/disputes so that part is more decentralized. But we have to build that in the next months.

These are basic questions though so please check the FAQ on reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/BitTube/comments/8lk12r/faq_frequently_asked_questions/ . If you have any more question let me know.

Why not try piratebay for copyright violating content? They mine Monero with your browser, but you don't get any of it. Neither does the content creator.

This is the difference with BitTube. Rewards go to the people that make a difference, enriching the platform with unique content and participation.

There is just a discussion going on about backdoors that provide the creators of smart contract applications to shut them down even though they claim it is decentralized. Will your app be censorship resistance or is there any way for you to intervene?
i have no idea what this is about.. our app is not a smart contract same way the youtube app or windows is not a smart contract.

do you have more info so i can answer this better?

Do you plan to work like a Youtube? Can anybody post any content on your blockchain? I thought it works that way and then my question is whether it is possible to remove any content from the blockchain and censor it.

If I have a NVIDIA then how do I begin mining? In what sequence are the steps? First, run the expert mode and then make a batch file with "--noNVIDIA --openCLVendor NVIDIA --noCPU"? Or for the first time immediately run a batch file with keys and then already set up?
What you did was correct I think, first time you say expert Yes, you go through all the steps that sets up your wallet and pool. Then after you can always change these settings because they are stored in text files in the miner folder.

as for your error, increase your page file (virtual memory) to at least 8GB (or 11GB) per card depending what you have.
this pc -> properties -> advanced system settings -> advanced tab -> performance settings -> advanced tab -> Virtual memory Change -> set page file custom size -> reboot.

Join the discord and the dev will take a look if this doesn't work.

Ok, thanks!

@bankomat_t666 you can mine with the bittube miner using opencl. make a batchfile (notepad save as .bat in the same folder) with the following:

start /b bittube-miner --noNVIDIA --openCLVendor NVIDIA --noCPU

and run that instead of bittube-miner.exe

Yes, I try it, but

Error CL_OUT_OF_RESOURCES when calling clEnqueueNDRangeKernel for kernel 0.
Error CL_OUT_OF_RESOURCES when calling clEnqueueNDRangeKernel for kernel 0.

Hey, and when will the support NVIDIA???

Bittube dead for mining.
quite the opposite, mining became much better with the hard fork.
