I totally agree. People just don't quite grasp how big a move a decentralized exchange is. Just one of the huge benefits : Mt Gox, CryptoRush, etc will never happen again (at least for BlackCoin).

Never underestimate what our dev rat4 is constantly doing. He may not be adding features like anon, but he always working on BlackCoin's security making sure stuff like that doesn't happen to BC. I eagerly await PoS 2.0

that what happened there is just one of the reasons not too have this anon stuff built-in.
The more you add to the coin core the more bugs and security issues it will have. And there is no software w/o issues at such size.

Definitely won't be surprised. Peaks and valleys as par for the course. But I do think it'll have a gradual rise up soon that will maintain with Coinkite and the new work by everyone developing.

true. i don't think there is no use for anonymity by the way, but i think it can be achieved as good without having that implemented in the coin itself... and that is what happens right now, DarkWallets, mixers, coinjoin etc.. are enough for both most people and use cases.

The airdrop was in talks because the instamine will continue to always be a part of the history of the coin and people will continue to bitch about it that there was a fuckup at launch with the difficulty scaling and then subsequent reduction in coinage. The airdrop was and always will be a horrible idea because it doesn't fix the issue at hand, rather, effectively doubles supply.

However, if you did take the time to review the explorer and even look at the top 100 or even 1000 addresses, the distribution of those early coins has long since been churned. People can bitch all the want about the instamine, but the fact remains, people were selling them for literally nothing in the beginning (ex. 10k drk for .25 btc) and the price was long stagnant to allow anyone that wanted in to get in.

Maybe true, maybe not, it could just have been a clever way to hide the coins... no one will ever know... that's why i added the ";-)" ;-)
However, it does not change the fact that some correction was overdue there, and a clone that also claims anon will be a good reason to dump and jump on that train. i think that is what's happening right now.

Why would anyone chose to invest in LTC over BTC though when in the end, they offer the exact same thing with BTC having a larger infrastructure and first-to-market presence? People keep talking about DRK like all it offers is to drug dealers and illegal usages. Boo hoo. If you don't give two shits about your privacy, you and everyone else can disclose your banking account information and your spending habits for the world to see. DRK may not ever have the adoption that BTC has in terms of merchants, but there is a large market cap out there to be had for people/companies/foundations/governments that do value privacy.
