With a Blackhalo wallet you can even have an 'open' wallet staking your coins but a secondary key saved 'cold' offline (on paper or whatever).

It'd be so friggin awesome if other countries followed suit.

You need the wallet and to make sure thats upto date.  Store your BLK in that wallet and it will stake after some time of being live and available on the network.   Post a screenshot of the wallet and we'll have a better idea of if you are in the right place, see the OP

I'd be interested to mine on that pool, give it a chance and see where it goes.  If only to test a new card and get back into the scene a little and setups required and end up paid in a coin I want, that could be ideal.
Changing scale from linear to log makes trend lines go a bit funny Cheesy  https://i.imgur.com/PIfgkFvr.png
Does seem a very optimistic atmosphere at present, Ive read articles on various blockchains and their potential in national newspapers and news of Japan, etc.   I see some big changes in various prices hopefully it can be of substance

This is clear situation and everything about Teams decisions. I think this could be very nice for attracting more members, and for price stability. Also we will send clear signal Balckcoin still kicking.

More and more people invest blackcoin, active node 1080 Grin
BLK was always attractive coin with sporadic small pumps and dumps. And as investment is good on longer periods.
Maybe I'm missing something here but BLK is 100% PoS right now. It can't be mined anymore, only staked.
Yes it is POS but when we are talking about mining we actually talking about multipool, which is used to mines other coins and payments were been in Blackcoin, this was fantastic improvement for thet time when we had only colored coins..
BlackCoin always were much more infront of its time.

we ( chainworks industries ( cwi ) ) would happily bring that pool back - if blackcoin devs would submit the code and scripts used for the original pool ...

we have not only the infrastructure - but the team to continue the pools presence with the blackcoin devs advice and direction ...

and it would cost the devs zero for the pool and its ongoing expenses - except to supply the code and scripts ...

time to put the black back in coin ...

Wink ...

I'm still impressed how well alt coins in general are holding with higher bitcoin price.  I swear this wasnt often the case often with previous rises of BTC but I remember the receding decline with Mt.gox timeline.  Maybe its speculation on further adoption by new elements in Japan or hopefully wider actual use from not all 'traffic' fitting into bitcoin would be good.

I see a 90 days chart for BLK to Fiat, is there longer dated data then that.

The recent retraction and previous highs are a reaction to .00011596  Fib 38% retracement of 2015 peak prices, another rung of resistance to surpass.  The trend since March is aggressive but matching .00009 on lows possibly for May is still positive

I can't believe I mined these when they first came out. That was like 4 years ago 12000 coins. I sold them the same week lol FML.

I had 8 280x on black coin the second it launched, I instamined 50,000 in a day and sold them for 750ish usd.  It tanked to 150ish USD, and I was so happy I sold, but then black coin hired a pump group and created a multipool soon after and my 50,000 coins peaked at what would have been over 20,000USD. sigh.

I just had a 7950 and I didnt mine BLK or BC I just remember it as one of many. It was the growth that really was big back then and I didnt catch onto the switch to POS as a big deal so missed the opportunity and I've only traded them.  Of course staked them since then

Wasn't in bad faith probably. For some people 'IPO' is synonymous with 'launch', they're also usually not aware of the negative connotations the word IPO has within crypto.
No Iam aware but I trade stocks and my use predates crypto but I should have remembered its misuse in this sphere.  Just its been a few years and yea of course I remember lots of scams and trust misplaced in overextended launches.  Blackcoin wasnt any of those, I didnt intend that meaning I was speaking roughly as BC was just one of many I noticed in passing.  I think I only mined it as a pool and so I didnt keep any coin mined, it was sold by our head pretty sure I forget alot of details.   I even mined on a 4850 for a month or so while reading up on crypto, very slow and inferior to the 5 series really and I actually have it in basic use now still.    I'll have the newest AMD card soon hopefully, which has 'deep learning' elements and vertical ram not sure how helpful to crypto that might be but BLK should stay POS I agree.  Other coins are copying this standard if anything

Lately i can see many are nostalgic for good old day when we mined coins with GPU-z. Maybe we need that multipool to be revived again, team should consider this? I'm not sure who killed GPU mining ASIC or ICO? Is there a future for POS coins ?

Also mined the release with 4x 280x, got around 18k coins but didn't sell the pump peak above 90k satoshi. Still holding on to the same coins and bought even more in February this year. Now that the whole industry is becoming more grown up as a whole, it might even reach that previous 2014 price again, this time in a healthy manor though.

I was here back at the IPO also but there was tons of new coins and I didnt mine this particular one unfortunately not that I can remember anyway, I held some afterwards though.  You can always sell and then rebuy even if its higher, I'm trying to change my mindset away from that all or nothing approach.   So long as the prospects are good for a coin then you can profit from buying in the troughs and selling at peaks if you are that kind of person who wants to trade.   Its the overall direction that matters, if its on a good trend up then just being involved with some holding is fine too imo.   Nothing wrong with trading really, free markets have a place in providing free flow of currency and its a positive to have buyers with some optimism when it sells off etc.   It seems to be the case that higher popularity with bitcoin benefits alt coins also as each offers various benefits
What kind of BS is this? lol

BC never had an IPO, it launched the cleanest way possible.

Just for clarification, there never was a Blackcoin IPO. IPO's in cryptocurrency are unregulated and very prone to fraud. Learned that the hard way.

There was a few months of PoW mining (which is probably what you are referring to) for a somewhat fair but mostly fast distribution of the coin before changing to PoS. Blackcoin has one of the cleanest starts out there. This matters because there are other PoS coins that have a far more problematic wallet distribution.

It's just the rising alt tide. Bitcoin keeps fucking itself and people are hedging against it. Though $0.1337 is nice.
