BlockStamp Communicator is a secure messaging app built around the BlockStamp blockchain. Senders use their app to encrypt messages with the recipient's public SSH-RSA key and then store the message in the blockchain.
Recipients' apps attempt to decrypt all messages on the blockchain with their private SSH-RSA key; these attempts are successful only when the public and private keys match. With this approach, the blockchain sits between senders and receivers and the messages contain no metadata.
Moreover, you can achieve new levels of privacy with sending the message using "mine your message feature"

This growth looks suspicious to me. Was there a major announcement or something? I know it's not the first time BST passed $1 but the jump in price happened in a moment and that is not natural.
This could be a bull trap you are right this looking suspicious. There is no announcement or release in pipeline but the big question is that how long they could maintain the current level. It will be very hard task to keep sustain on the current level of price.

We would like to announce that soon we will be implementing a new mining rewards strategy.
We will decrease inflation to 1% - a similar way as with BTC (after the halving). Therefore a new reward will be 1 BST and will be constant - there won't be any more halvings. We hope it will allow more long term thinking about mining.
