what are some wallets to have my BTC in to get this fork
Lets just hope that coinbase will also include this currency before the fork although I am not sure about it. Better check thier website or thier whitepaper for additional information.

BI previously announced that HitBTC will support Bitcoin Interest once fork has begin. Maybe we should wait developer for its next update. Fork will exactly occur on January 22, you can also earn for your bitcoin by choosing a weekly or monthly interest period to part your coins and claim your share of the collective interest pool.

At 25 cents though it'll be a massive joke, people with 10 BTC get 2.5$ from this fork. 150$k and they get 2.5$ for having that much? Most people wont get 1 cent

may be you do not follow Ethereum seriously? There are also hardforks in ETH. You must just follow them in the right platform.
