Why not get some coders together and put together a competing service? The demand is obviously there, as are people willing to make that happen...

BTCJam doesn't have a support fact. no reaction to any mails I sent them (waiting since 2 months now).

Worst service and it's a scammers heaven. I wouldn't recommend it.

I have to agree. I'm still waiting on a response to the questions I asked here in the forum on August 13, and haven't gotten any response to email either.

It's a shame. I really liked the concept of BTCJam. I stuck with it for a year now with a loss month after month hoping that it would get its problems resolved. It's a pity that they really never solved the problem of the defaulting borrowers, and that the customer service has gone from slow (during the early months) to nonexistent (since August). At this point, I've stopped making new 'investments' in BTCJam loans, and am withdrawing BTC as it comes in. BTCJam will need to improve its customer service before I consider investing again.

I have not had any response from BTCJam/Tulkas yet on this. I have also contacted the [email protected], but they havn't giving any answer or feedback either.

So now I start wandering what happens with my 12xTAT.ASICMINER in escrow at the account celso when btct.co shuts down?

Hi
I just paid back my loan https://btcjam.com/listings/6453.

But the 12xTAT.ASICMINER was not returned to my btct account?

The 10xBASIC-MINING was returned as expected.

Should i do anything to solve this problem ?

Has Tulkas disappeared or is he just ignoring peoples questions?

I would like to know the status of the Ziggap loan as it was taken out before arbitration, therefore can all the people owed be given the owners details we can start legal proceedings on our own as the defaulted amount is very substantial.

I was happy to find this nice site and confident in your "Reputation" schema immediately invested in some 7 day-loans.
Then ... nothing. Then I started my investigations. Discovered, that my investments were in a SCAMMER using 3 usernames, investing mutually at first in mini-loans to create for the 3 usernames fictive 100% "Reputation" and then HAPPILY SCAMMING the others users.
Sorry. For me BTCJam is a SCAMMER PARADIZE.

Your suppose to do the research before investing that is how P2P works. So stupid some people are.

Hi,

I've been using btcjam for a while and of course I've had some default loans (who hasn't).

I too am whaiting for a response from Tulkas on two important questions:

Quote
1) How do I convert this official piece of paper into actual recovered bitcoins in my wallet? Do I need to send a copy of the arbitration award to some legal entity somewhere?

2) Now that I have been officially given the debtors' identity information as part of the arbitration process, can I contact them without violating BTCJam's Terms of Service?

I think maybe it's time to stop waiting for a response from btcjam en try to take legal actions.

I've got some questions and ideas. First one: I think it's a good idea to centralize all of the arbitrated loans in one place, a website, sorted by identity, country, etc. That way, we know which people are big debtors and in which country's they are.

Second, I'm looking for someone with juridical knowledge or valuable connections to stand up and look for the possibilities to collect the money through a collection agency who is willing to try and collect bitcoins.

First question: Am I making major thinking errors? Is this idea ridiculous because of certain things I'm forgetting?

Second: who is willing and able to make an easy website for collecting arbitration award? I'm thinking of a simple form where everybody can upload their arbitration award and fill out name en details of the parties?

Please let me know what you guys think.

The CEO is at a Bitcoin conference in Amsterdam this week. I don't know if they have anyone else running things while he is away.

It might be because the BTCT.CO exchange is going to be shutting down soon, and ThickAsThieves has already locked this asset in preparation for migrating it to another exchange. I suggest that you send PMs to both Tulkas and ThickAsThieves and hopefully one of them will be able to help you.

Please let us know if you receive a response from Tulkas, and if your problem gets solved. (I am trying to make a decision these days as to whether or not to continue using BTCJam, and my decision will depend mainly on whether they find another solution for secured loans now that BTCT is closing, and whether or not they improve customer service and start answering emails and forum posts.)

Good luck!

After a long period of time, I decided to log into my account at BTCJam to see if my defaulted borrowers had repayed their debt. I had a small amount of BTC in my wallet and upon logging in, it is gone. Tulkas should this be taken up in a PM?

New and existing user please take note;

1) BTCJam does not respond to emails requesting answers to simple questions.

2) Do not make use or rely on their automated payment system - it does not work.

3) If their site goes down - your credit rating is negatively affected if you can not make any payments due.

What 'n nice system to use, as long as they can collect their 4% - stuff you (this is the message I get load and clear from them over the past week)

Utterly disgusted.

You shouldn't have to be affected negative when there site fails, they really should fix such things as soon as possible, not your fault if you can't log in because the site is down or if the automatic payments fails. If the site gives you negative rating or if you have to pay extra fees because of there faults they really need to fix such bugs immediately.
