Anyone know how to send or receive BTCP coins without identifying the sender/receiver/amount of the transaction?
You need to download the full node wallet for viewing and sending shielded transactions.
BTCP-Electrum wallet doesn't support this yet.
Thank you kahc! Will give this full node wallet a try.
I've tried the full node wallet. This works great! The only item is visible is the transaction ID from Z address (Private) to Z address on the blockchain. No send from, send to address, nor amount, just a transaction ID. It's like completely nothingness from the block explorer. Except in my wallet, I saw the amount came into my wallet.
From the full node BTCP wallet, you do need to use Z address (Private Address) for both receiving and transmitting to have nothing visible (from/to/amount) on blockchain. If you are transferring from T (Public address), you still see your T address sending out coins, but won't know which Z address you send funds to. Or if you send from Z address to T address, you still see incoming coins, but don't know where the address coins came from.
This is probably as close to true privacy as it gets. Kudos to BTCP team!!!
Can you make this feature available on Electrum wallet as well? I think it may get more adoption of BTCP.
