We love what you are doing!  It's a great effort!!

We are also grateful to be a charity you are raising donations for and would love the support for The Water Project as well!

Keep up the great work!  We need more folks like you doing amazing projects to demonstrate the social value of Bitcoin and help bring forward real world applications and stories to help carry this to the mainstream.

What charity was chosen for March?

This is the first time I've ever come across this thread, and it looks like something I've envisioned, but shared with only one person. I'm now curious as to who's behind this idea.

~Bruno Kucinskas

Hi Bruno, my name is Ryan and I live in Canada and I can guarantee you that we have never spoken before and that this was my creation from the get go.

As for the article that you referred to, I did not write the article and I have no clue who did, but I did comment on it...that you are correct on that.  Please do a little bit more research before making false acquisitions.

I will fix up the link, thank you for pointing that out to me.  The main page really isn't viewed by anyone, but does need a strong overhaul and major update.  Most pool are going to BitGive again since CharityMiningPools did not start up until mid-February.  That said there are some going to The Water Project as well.

Thank you for your interest and fair questions.

Bitcoin: An Idea Worth Spending

Who Are We?

CharityMiningPools was created to allow miners the ability to mine coins while still knowing that their hashing power is going towards something good. Our goal is to provide a positive and reliable service while delivering a small portion of the proceeds to a deserving recipient. Plans are in the works to allow individual miners to choose where they would like to donate to based on a pool of available recipients.

I've read the above at least 20 times as it's posted on every new alt coin that hits the street, and I still can't ascertain who is behind Charity Mining Pool. Would you be so kind as to let us know the names of the principles running this endeavor?

Even their self-penned press release, of which they were kind enough to be the sole commenter on, thanking themselves for such a fine article, didn't provide me a clue as to who's behind CMP: http://www.cryptoarticles.com/crypto-news/2014/2/13/charityminingpools-mine-crypto-donate-to-charity-automatically

I had a very similar idea. to go around to third world countries and setup mining rigs for them. We should talk maybe we share two different parts of the same vision. Smiley

Great pool and concept, I'll look into switching over this evening.

Excellent, really need to get some miners on board to help us get started.
