Yes first transfer your coins from the exchange to your wallet. Next leave the wallet running and unlocked. Your coins will eventually start staking.

Would love to know what some of you guys are trading with. All the "k thx I'm out" aren't met with much volume on the charts. Bitcoin is very accessible, the kids posting the most fud here usually have the least amount of coin, fact.
