Thinking of making a significant investment in Cloak considering what I have read about on the last few days about the tech and future plans. Only thing I don't know about is the dev team. Any details on this anywhere someone can point me to?

Currently we are working on this. Expect it soon !

Thanks look forward to this transparency.  I think it will go a long way into building trust with the crypto community in general.

Someone needs to build a market to trade darkcoin straight to cloakcoin. Might make is psychologically easier for them to let go.

I think we are going to see the same sort of market action that took VRC up 500% in quick time. Each time it went up 100% it actually GATHERED steam rather than lost it, that was my best earner to date, trippled my BTC in 4 days. I see no reason why CLK can't knock off DRK and XC and be over 0.01 by the end of the week - if not sooner. The only thing holding DRK up for so long was the sheer ammount of USD people had invested in it - just wait for those folks to realise that they can make back everything they lost in DRK by selling it off (even for 50% less than they paid for it) and buy CLOAK while its still cheap in comparison.

Cloak works - DRK does not. Doesn't take a genius to notice that better profits are to be had in a market with a coin that says what it does and does what it says.

If I want to send 100 BTC anonymously I need to purchase 100 BTC of Cloak. Now knowing that this coin is now poised to push DRK off its mountain I decide to buy 100 BTC in one gulp - next week, when I actually need to send the 100 BTC I notice that Cloak is now 0.01 and not only have I got enough Cloak for my 100 BTC transaction, but I have just made over 400 BTC for future use.

I wouldn't be surprised if the REAL big buys are not so much investments in Cloak per se, but purchases of the necessary coins to complete large anonymous transactions. Thats what is going to drive the coin up past 0.01.

What we really need now is a CLOAK to USD market - with huge reserves of CLOAK and USD. Allow people to buy up hundreds of thousands of USD of Cloak and sell it back to USD without causing any inadvertent dumps.

I've been here since the beginning.  I don't need to know their names or their backgrounds.  Some of the best developers I know (in person) don't even have degrees.  My point is, in the short time this coin has been alive, the devs have shown what they're capable of.  The coin was launched, rebranded, multipools launched (and relaunched), CloakSend, CloakTrade, curl integration, websites, etc.  And that's only a slice of what they've already done.  There is of course, PoSA, OneMarket, OneLedger, CIARA, and who knows what else.  This is a very talented team.  I take their actions as my "Proof of Developer," not some fancy degree or high-end job title.

Not much to know about them, personally I like it that way better. I mean if Satoshi could do it then so could the cloak devteam.
And because this coin is the biggest innovation since bitcoin I feel it's only right to keep it this way.

On a side note,
I've personally invested large amounts of btc into cloak from 20K all the way up to today. I unlike others buy when it goes up and never sell because it's gonna be the #2 coin soon. Then I'll sell a few and take a month or two vacation.

Will I see you there?

This is strange. I'm not seeing wild dumps and corrections. Its as if a whale is accumulating coins.

 Smiley

Someone get's it.

This aint a P&D

Its actual interest by cryptoheads to stack the most innovative coin since bitcoin.

Alot of people are holding, people learned to hold longer ever since darkcoin exploded. Cloak looks very promising and people are expecting it to explode just like drk did. In my opinion the small price fluctuations are small day traders buying and selling for small profits that explains the low volume, stable price no x2-x5 jump in a day. A gradual increase like what is happening now is a very healthy for Cloak, I assume this is all smart money pouring in  Wink

Why is it increasing today? Was there something released? Just trying to figure out the reason behind the move.

Decentralized market speculation play for me. I suggested it as a possibility for a few buddies yesterday as well.

(Although I am sure like normal, it is mostly some whales doing their thing...)

No need to, that will just drum up un-needed drama.

I can't believe there are idiots really selling at this stage of Cloak development. Don't know if they are weak or just think they will drop price in order to buy back in cheaper. To me it's not worth the risk. I'm holding my Cloak with an iron fist!

Having mined them for basically free in the first week, $1 each is pretty good. Selling at least 10-25% of your holdings at each big step is smart if you hold enough.

I agree. There are scenarios where not selling at this stage makes you a moron.

Not many but of course there are a few.  Like if you absolutely have to or don't understand the value of holding a winning trade.  Or if Cloak's valuation was say 20 Mil and there was and upcoming 'anon' coin that had a value of say 4.5 Mil but it's architecture and development team were extremely talented etc etc.  I hope you get the idea.  Keep in mind valuation and not X amount per coin($) but market cap and possible future supply.

Don't get too excited just yet and hopefully even the 'day' traders will have the sense to stay long.   Then again, that is a different game so to each a strategy as they like.  Let see what happens on the next order of magnitude up and see how much is for sale then.  Also, check the depth on some other coins and see if you could get out if you were a larger trader and were trying to move bigger size into or out of any given market.

It doesn't seem like many coin holders outside of other 'privacy' coins are even around this forum yet.  They are probably starting to notice today especially.

There is a bunch of btc on the sidelines and real big money won't be involved until much later.

Hold tight ya'll.

Yes, if you only enter markets with 1000 BTC looking for a 20% profit you can only enter the most liquid markets. So we won't see these guys until we are trading 5-10k BTC a day. They dive in and out in minutes taking 100's of btc with them.

I hope dev team is taking note of the fresh interest. Market would definitely like some news in the next few days, or even bring PoSA out of beta...

I find these rises always happen early to test the dev's resolve. This is where PnD's are formed, or true value is discovered.

Why didn't you buy yesterday? Or last week? Would've been cheaper. Nothing has actually changed.

1) I did, I have more than 100 btc worth of cloak -- which may sound like a pity amount but thats a lot of cash in my country.
2) I represent a few investors, can't just go on a full fledged buying rampage, you have to carefully construct buy walls and watch how the market reacts.
I wish you luck! That is a lot. Stay disciplined. Follow your plan.
