At the rate the coin is going the fork will only take a few years that is why we are working on a faster fix for this issue
We have been working on it and testing it on Testnet the client will be released once we are 100% sure this will work at this time last block was found 13 days ago.

but has it been tested? And will it have support?

Our team is now working on this project and we are shooting for a Saturday Aug 10th release.
Good idea, scammers probably haven't got them yet, as well as btc-e insiders.
Would be nice to stop explaining to folks that it takes a month to move their coins.

cnc is a great coin, reviving it is a marvelous idea , it is as good as saving a country from dying.

I have 0 CNC myself there will be no changes in how many coins will be created only changing the difficulty algorithm.

Well maybe this is a good idea. CNC was a bit scamish but still more fair than some of the later coins 
i wouldn't mind seeing it revived, atleast it's not a new crap coin being released
