I found your business: http://www.openstreetmap.org/node/2619780199 (this is the link I looked for).

addr:*=* OK

note=* is wrong: you have to use description=* instead.

http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:description

payment:bitcoin=yes is wrong: you have to put "payment:bitcoin" as key, and "yes" as value. All tags in OSM are in the form key=value.

Missing tags: office=* and name=*

I have never used Open street maps before so let me see if this link takes us back to my page .
http://www.openstreetmap.org/
No, this link is the full map.

In any case I found your edits:

http://www.openstreetmap.org/user/overunity/history#map=17/53.60618/-2.54203&layers=ND

I will browse them.

I wanted to test it out on my building before putting the idea to my friends who own various businesses but since I cannot tag my building it is a non starter .
You CAN tag your building, but you have to tag it correctly. Could you give us a link to your node/way in OSM, please?

Thank you!

edit : it does but with no marker just shows "10" were my building is .

When I actually tagged my building there was an overhead google map style picture of the roof of my house .
But this map has no buildings showing at all .
Any help would be appreciated .
My friends are interested but I told them they would be able to have there buildings on the bitcoin map ,but so far it is not looking like I can show them how .

When you go through that link you need to press "edit" and then you see my house from above and a tag icon on my roof .

I followed the instructionals that were supplied at osm but it has not worked and I do not understand why .

My guess would be that your business is not a brick-and-mortar business so it didn't go through moderation queue. It was pretty much explained in the email you got ...
I'am self employed builder ,my home is my business address .
Maybe my street's houses are not on there map so it will not work .
Maybe it only caters to actual shops and public building ,maybe the guy from osm can shed more light and  will show me what is possible .
It would have been cool but nevermind .

In any case, you can add your home address to OSM.  Addresses and buildings are wanted very much, but then please be careful to use the correct tags for the address (as suggested in the message, like addr:city and addr:street).  However, if you also tag your home as your business (with name=, shop= or payment:bitcoin=yes), then it means in OSM terms that people can expect to go there and find a shop or at least office, where they can physically pay at the exact location with Bitcoin.  That's what they mean by "OSM is a map".  It makes only sense for a business to be on a map if it really is and can be found by strangers interested in it on the place where it is tagged.

For your case, I don't know whether you actually have an office related to your business at home, where you also expect customers that show up.  If that's the case, then maybe an office= tag is appropriate.  See https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:office for more details.

I think it was described in a pretty much detailed way what is wrong and that your business does not belong to a map ...

I thought I was putting it on a map ?

What could I be doing wrong for it not to update ?

Providing Node ID makes finding an issue much easier ...

I got this e-mail.

Hi overunity,
chillly has sent you a message through OpenStreetMap with the subject your first edits:
==
I see you have added a (your?) business to OSM. I thought you might like some feedback.
I expect you have added your business from Coinmap. What Coinmap and the like don't understand is that OSM is geographical database that happens to be used to create a map amongst other things.
Your edit has no object. There's no business type, nor building nor any other object to hang your edit on, so there's nothing to display. Judging by your note you don't execute your business there, you will do that at customers' premises, so it doesn't make sense to add your business in that form to OSM. We are NOT a trade directory.
You have put a house number and street name in the housename tag, stick to addr:housenumber and addr:street which look good.
The postcode should be upper case.
You have added the business name as an advert. When you have added the object for the business (if you can - I don't see what you would use as customers do not go there to receive the service) please add the correct business name, not the strapline from your business card.
It would be great if you added some detail to OSM, your area. If you need any help, please reply. Chris

Just added my services to openstreetmap ,but nothing showing on coinmap .

I will check again in a few hours maybe I didi it wrong .

Be great to see me on coinmap .

Once I know for sure I can do it ,I will go round my business owner mates and add them ,once I get em set up with wallets .

I put this coinmap to new businesses I convert .

In the tags I put The " payment:bitcoin=yes " but still nothing on coinmap .
What could I be doing wrong for it not to update ?

The same thing is happening here. I added my venue and the payments.

Could someone translate the map into French? Compared to the rest of Europe, rural France is a big black hole.
It could also be useful for North African countries.

I could probably do it, but it would take lots of time (has been ages since I used French on a daily basis).
Anyone up for the challenge?

(also Spanish is still missing)

If no one here jumps up would it be okay to put a request in the French section of this forum?

I'd just say I can't navigate to it with ipad 2, browsers (chrome & safari) always crash before full loading

This bug is already known. Unfortunately it's outside of CoinMap, so we'll have to wait until Leaflet folks or Apple folks fix it.

Hello,

Stick, Coinmap is a great website, congrats for your work Smiley

I'd just say I can't navigate to it with ipad 2, browsers (chrome & safari) always crash before full loading, maybe that's on my side I'll try again later after restart, that's maybe RAM related or idk... Or if bug has already been submit, I'm sorry... No problem on android though

And , could you tell me what flag to add to display LTC are accepted in my business please? forget it I just saw the indication in footer in another comp

Any way to automatically get the data from https://lamassu.is/maps/ and put it into coinmap? It would be handy to see where all the Bitcoin ATMs are!

Not sure about the data export, but if you want to put those in OSM (not just as new data source for CoinMap specifically), which I find an interesting idea, you should talk to the OSM community first.  Both to establish a tagging scheme for non-fiat ATMs and also because automated imports always require discussion and planning.

Also map on lamassu website is crap. Positions are not accurate, one cannot zoom it, etc.
