Hey guys!

Usually I only read instead of actually post, but in all honesty I think Coino and it's amazing supportive community deserve one hell of an exception. I have both been actively following and mining Coino for the past week and it's just amazing how much positive energy I see wherever I read or hear about Coino.

Me - and many others - have a lot of trust in this coin and am certain it has a bright future ahead. Besides that I'm trying to involve as many people as possible to also believe in Coino.

So a big KUDOS to the dev team, the pools, and everyone else for the massive continued support. Really, if there's anything I can do for the community besides mining just hit me up! Smiley

Thanks so much... We are happy when you guys are happy.

Contest Details

The prize will be a video game of your choice through steam, gifted to your steam account.

I will be doing a combination of ideas that have been thrown around as well as my own.

Here is how it will work:

The contest will start on Friday 1/30/14 @ 12pm  Mountain Time Zone (about 8.5 hours from now) and run for 72 hours.

-Each person who finds a block will receive an entry in a random drawing (limit of 10 entries per person)
-Whoever finds the most blocks will receive an additional 5 entries (15 total entries)
-User IDs 2 through 50 will start off with 3 entries and can still earn the 10 for finding blocks (total of 13 possible entries) This is thanks for getting it started when hashrate was under      25 and blocks were seldom.

At the end of the contest I will post screenshots from the database of how many blocks each user id found.  Then I will enter those user IDs into a randomizer however many times depending on the number of entries you earned.

Whichever user ID is drawn will receive the Steam game.

I think this contest design rewards both the high hashers, the early members, and at the same time gives people that found even just 1 block a chance of winning.

Good luck!

I like it. It shows that you put much thought into it.

Maybe you could also give 1 entry to users that set a Donation field, that way you would encourage other people to do it and you could then use Donation money to have more Giveaways.

I like that idea, I will use it next time. I dont want to change the terms after it has already started.

The Contest started 45 minutes ago. I will be counting found blocks from that point.

Sorry to the couple people that were experiencing disconnect problems.  I haven't been disconnected but I have seen the website and database slow down at times so I am planning to do a performance upgrade on the server if everyone is willing to deal with about 30 minutes of down time.

You can vote here to let me know what you think about that. http://poolers.org/Poll.html

Vice versa is not a meal.
Is there a block halving and when will it occur ?
How dramatically will it be ?

yep there is no block halving!
If there is no block halving why would it stop at 100.000.000 Coins ?
There must be something regulating the coin in some way ?

Every coin has a maximum, it doesn't? Tongue

If he made the coin with a max cap of 200.000.000, the price of the coin would be lower for 1/2 of current price.

This shows that the coin is not a pump and dump coin.

The answer of your post is totally not valuable... from a technical site of view.
Coins normally do have a certrain scheme with block halving so that in the technical view they are convergent to a certain number of coins.

Right now the following takes place:
2.200.000 coins are premined.
1.449.454 are mined by miners.
makes an outstanding amount of coins from 96.350.546 to reach the 100.000.000 COINO [CON]

By a rate of 35 coins each 25 seconds it is ~ 0,71428 [sec/CON] or inverse 1,4 [CON / sec ]
now multiplied by the missing coins you get in seconds, then calculate to years or days or whatever you like.

The coin will be fully mined in 2,18 Years or lets say in 796,54888261 days.

What happens if the last coin was found ? Block reward is zero then ?

what I understand is that every transaction cost a fee of 0.1 Coinos. And every fee is going back to the blocks so even after the 2 years of mining you can still mine because there are always enough coins out there to mine because of the transaction fee!

Well yeah you will be right. Will be interesting to see how it will have affect on the price.
Nice to be on board. Lets get going to da moon Wink!
