📊ContractMarketCap v1.5.2 100% market coverage! All derivative at one screen!

What's new ❔

Volatility market. A section has been added for a new type of instrument - contracts for volatility (change in the price of an asset). Now such contracts are traded only on BTC and only on FTX Exchange. Daily, weekly and quarterly contracts are calculated based on the absolute change in the price of Bitcoin TWAP (Time-Weighted Average price) Index.

Open price. We no longer rely hope on exchange data (although we use them), but independently fix market snapshots at the beginning of the day, as well as weekly and monthly. This will, after the accumulation of data, significantly improve the market metrics. Already now this can be seen on the main page, where we show the changes from the beginning of the day for all prices, trading volume and the open interest.

New exchange. The list of derivative sites has replenished with new players: QUME (Бaxpeйн), Gmex, Level Trading Field, Bitwyre, OnTrade, TaurusEX (or Hydax), BitOrb, Coinship DEX, Bitnomial, Level01, CCFOX, Bitget, Bluehelix Exchange, BitCoke, Hopex, Synthetix, Overbit, BitSeven, SimpleFX, BitAsset, AgoraDesk, AOFEX, IX, 58Coin, BEX, DragonEx (derivatives from BBX), Phemex.

New data connection. New exchanges that we have connected and receive data: QUME, Gmex, CCFOX. BitAsset and Phemex. Interesting exchange Gmex - the platform has been operating for a long time (previously known as GAEA Trading) and positions itself as a serious competitor for BitMEX, focused to he Asian's market. With daily turnover 1.5B USD, she immediately entered our top exchanges, but she can not compete with 2.6+B BitMEX turnovers. And HuobiDM the undisputed market leader, far ahead of the competition (Huobi has a turnover comparable to the total turnover of all billion exchanges combined). CCFOX looks interesting too, with 300+M turnover.

Updates. Improved data processing and connection stability for: BitForex (added Open Interest and Funding rate), CoinEx (added Perpetual contracts), CoinBene. Fixed bugs in CME connections.

Site improvements. Many small improvements aimed at stability and information in the price tables. Charts on pages can now be updated manually when you need (by Refresh button). By the way, we have already signed an agreement with Trading View and will soon integrate their charting solution with technical analysis tools.

📊ContractMarketCap v1.5.1 100% market coverage! All derivative at one screen!

What's new ❔

⚡️ Spread. We added spread indicator (percent as default value) to all price tables. At tooltip over this, you can see spread at nominal value and in basis points (1/1000 of percent).

Typically, spread for regulated BTC markets are ~0.001%. For LedgerX Next-Day BTC swaps is up to 0.45% (~4...5 USD per contract).

Over the other markets, spread is less. At top-traded markets, e.g. HuobiDM or OKEx, contract with turnover 800+ M$ - just only 0.0001% (for futures contracts, expired at Nov and Dec'19). Average spread is equal ~0.040%.

⚡️ Charts. We added shortly charts for quick analysis market trends directly at the contracts table. For BTC and ETH markets you can overview trading volumes between Spot and Derivative markets.

Also, we implemented chart comparison for exchanges with 250+MUSD daily turnovers.

4 players have turnover 1Billoin+ - Huobi DM (4.42 B), OKEx (3.46 B), BitMEX (2.36 B) and Delta Exchange (1.08 B). Binance Futures now balancing at the bottom line (but they have only one contract - with up to 1B trade volume, Delta have 1+ B with 14 assets and 25+ different contracts to trade).

⚡️ New exchange. We are №1 at the market with 65 exchanges at track list. Only this week, we added - FMex, BitOffer, AAX ("asian Bakkt"), Tassat (ex trueDigital), BBX (other exchange, MCX, have only UI, all trade and data works over BBX API directly) and VaribL ("older than dirt" project, options contract trading and settlement over Ethereum smart-contracts).

I'd say that the layout of the site is good, but I had to navigate a while before actually understanding how data is organised. What I think you guys should add is a ranking of exchanges by their aggregate volume of all their markets, similar to how CMC has an option to rank exchanges.

Furthermore, I think you guys should have a FAQ that explains terms like 'open interest' and 'spot market cap' to beginners. That would be extremely helpful.

Thanks about feedback.

Yes, we added all of this. Now first target - collects all of the data from all exchanges. And then we re-organize site and do more usability.

Good job guys for the future of cryptocurrency contracts system. Hope to see facebook integration.
Do you have plans to introduce authorization for users in order to add several separate markets to your favorites. It should give the possibility to
make cusomizable overview considering expansion of crypto futures in the future. Think about adding full history dynamics and trends graphs of presented contracts to make a valuable conclusion to trade.
Thanks!

This is actually a really cool service!

If I may ask, do you guys have a plan to combat potential fraud in these stats?
Not all exchanges are on the up and up, and once leverage gets involved, it would be easy for exchanges to report huge (and fake) volume.

I look forward to you guys getting a publicly accessible API set up.

Lot of thanks!

Yes, we has a plan to do some research and checking trading volumes and activity (in ideal, we want to do some research, as Bitwise do). Our next platform will be collect overbooks and all trades, and we hope create deep analysis of the market.

But these plans depend on the closure of the investment round (yes, now we are looking for money and are open to offers to invest in the company equity).

CryptoTalk.Org - Get Paid for every Post!
Bakkt only? No! 10 exchanges has been regulated and get access to trade full-regulated BTC-based derivatives (futures, but day ahead swap at LedgerX, forwards at TeraExchange).

Kraken Futures (ex. CryptoFacilities) represent other products - ETH, LTC, XRP and BCH futures contracts.

Most of all exchange regulated under US law, two licensed at UK (CryptoFacilities and LDX - London Derivative Exchange) and one at UAE (Dubai-based BTSE exchange).

24h Total volume: ~190M USD, Open interes: ~110M USD.

Data availability is a pain questions at now - only CryptoFacilities and BTSE have a public API, LedgerX has limited data reports (but BTSE dont published open interes metrics). Now we are discussed with other exchanges to access it's data API.

Our team continues to connect new and new exchanges. Honestly, we initially did not even imagine how many of them. And here also Bakkt launched... we are waiting for data connection within a week.

Update: inverse future from OnederX ⚡

OnederX - a small exchange with Estonian registration, where at the moment, only one inverse perpetual contract is available - BTCUSD_P. Why inverse? Because despite the fact that the size of the contract and quotation takes place in USD, all calculations, as well as input / output are implemented only in BTC.

As a plus, we note a very good description of PnL with examples of all the calculations.

The site previously appeared in the media in March this year, when it introduced an interesting asset, futures on the meme index. The site itself is still available, but no trades.

In general, there are a lot of moments on the site that have gamification. For example, a permanent leaderboard for active traders, among which 10% of all commissions per day are distributed.

What about the futures itself? The daily turnover is approximately 200K USD , which is the lowest turnover among all monitored sites.

Technologically, the site assures that they have a very fast application execution engine and options for HFT are available, up to the collocation. Available HTTP REST API and WebSocket, but not a word about the FIX protocol, which is already standard for the financial industry.

However, even the usual HTTP protocol is implemented, let's say, in a very unusual way. Instrument data can be obtained by a regular GET request, but then all other methods are implemented via POST, which, let's say, is not typical for the industry and for the first time among dozens of different APIs, including exotic Japanese. The logic of such a decision is, alas, incomprehensible.

The platform also gives a minimum of information through the API, not allowing you to get the most important information for complete analytics - the size of open interest, for example.

The most significant drawback is the lack of any information about the index, which is used to mark and settlement positions. In the documentation we found only a mention that this is a course from well-known spot exchanges. Other exchanges reveal much more information, including, ideally, even completely all the source data of each tick of the index. But this, in fact, is the most important of the numbers for the trader. Otherwise, unlimited scope for market manipulation is possible here.

Binance JEX - second platform for perpetuals futures from Binance ⚡

Previously, it was an independent small exchange. Now it was bought by Binance and it immediately activated the trading activity.

There are three perpetual futures contracts nominated in USDT - on BTC, ETH and EOS.

  • BTCUSDT contract has turnover reaches 200 - 260M USDT, which even exceeds the entire turnover of the Binance Futures platform with the same contract. But the BTC market is very saturated, so these turns simply dissolve in the usual daily activity (~ 15B USD)
  • ETHUSDT shows even less activity, but stay in the 200M area, which ensures that it gets into the top 5 instruments by turnover (and occupy 10% of the total trade turnover)
  • EOSUSDT also demonstrates good momentum, 150M average turnover makes this tool the top 3 in terms of turnover of the entire EOS market, which cannot boast of a large number of contracts (a total of 8 exchanges, on which 16 contracts are represented)

In total, the platform has 650M daily turnover, which allows it to balance between 5th and 6th place in the overall rating of exchanges.

           Binance JEX page

It should be noted that while the situation with Binance JEX is ambiguous. Yes, thanks to the promotion from the parent company and the ready-made conditions (all instruments were already traded and had their own, albeit not so large, audience of traders) in terms of turnover, it firmly entered the leaders in the market of top altcoins, while on the main battlefield - BTC, the situation is more than modest.

Separately, it is necessary to emphasize the unpleasant moments: at the moment, the exchange has not published detailed specifications of its contracts and does not give open interest indicators on the API, which significantly aggravates the receipt of relevant data and their analysis. And quite unlike Binance practice. We hope that these points will be fixed soon.

Binance Futures arrived! ⚡

And here is the long-awaited Binance futures arrived. Awesome!
This is not a rebranding of a recently purchased JEX (she's stay as dedicated platform - Binance JEX).

Today, Binance Futures has one traded product - BTC/USDT Perpetual futures. Important moment - contract quoted at USDT, not more traditional USD. One analogue at market - contract at BaseFEX exchange.

Despite access by invitation only, 24h turnover  151M USDT, that's 10 place at BTC market.

From leaders are still very far away, although taking into the growth rate of the entire derivatives market and the possibilities of the parent company Binance, I hope to assume that the turnover will reach 1 B within 3 days, a maximum of a week after launch.

Still have errors - no contract and indices specifications, no important market indicator - open interest. This is very poor  Sad

⚡ Perpetual contracts from BaseFEX

The exchange offers trading on several contracts settlements in BTC and USDT. So far, contracts in BTC are much more popular, but I think, the USDT markets will expand. Currently, trading is carried out with an inverse BTCUSD contract and contracts for ETH, XRP, LTC, BCH, BNB - settled at XBT.

Separately, we would mark the BNBXBT contract. Today the BNB market is very young and until that time it was represented only by the FTX and Delta exchanges.
Only 4 contracts for the entire market - this, we think, is very small and incomparable with the leader of BTC, ETH or even XRP.

BaseFEX is the undisputed leader in BNB: $ 7M daily turnover and $ 0.75M at open interest. Exchange is comparable with Delta (BNB-Perpetual) in open interest, but BaseFEX leading with turnover (Delta has $ 0.8M, which is almost 10 times less).

According to general statistics, the exchange is in 7th place: a 24h volume $ 91M and $ 9.2M of open interest.
