Has anyone tried to use the new wallet 1.3.1? It makes sense to go at it with 1.2.1?

I found a way to mine about 20% extra yenten with your own PC
I will try more ways to check if it is OK for most PCs.
I think yenten is the future.

Now I use i5 6300u ---0.32KH/S

Price dropped but network hash remains constant and just increased too. Virtually every other coin’s hashrate rises and falls with price but yenten’s hashrate is inelastic.

30 days in: 7 pools, one of which was already hacked and another crashed, 60+ discord users (https://discord.gg/MW6aPzb), new users can still SOLO mine effectively with their office PC, and nodes are popping up all over the globe.

I don’t think yenten is going anywhere.

now we are now 60 days in. Here’s where we’re at:

- We now have TEN pools. wow.
- We hit a high price of 1,800 sat last month
- The discord channel is active and growing
- We were added to CoinMarketCap
- We were added to Delta Portfolio App
- You can still mine this with your desktop PC
- it was proposed that the smallest unit of measurement for yenten should be called the "conan"
- buy orders are building again on our super duper high quality exchanges.

Happy New Years

Hello fellow hodlers!

I am solo mining with Ubuntu with the wallet and just set up cpuminer-opt in getwork mode to solo mine instead.

Is there an advantage of one way over the other?

Mining with the qt-wallet cpu use stays pegged 100%

mining with cpuminer-opt, it drops down every 10 seconds or so

but if cpuminers-opts algo is better, it may still be better than the wallet. i built it with the flag for my arch, so I figure it may be.

anyways cheers all!  Happy new year with new hodls!

I feel really dumb asking this question, but I'm currently mining this coin (very slowly) but I'm interested in getting my mined coins off of the exchange wallet I"m currently dumping them to.

I'm on GalliumOS (a version of Ubuntu) and I've installed "yentend" and "yenten-cli," but when I run them, I just get messages like:

"./yenten-cli" yields
Quote
Yenten Core RPC client version v1.3.1.0-0c21432-beta

Usage:
yenten-cli [options] [params]  Send command to Yenten Core
  yenten-cli [options] help                List commands
yenten-cli [options] help      Get help for a command

Options:
  -?                     This help message
-conf=           Specify configuration file (default: yenten.conf)
  -datadir=         Specify data directory
  -testnet               Use the test network
-regtest               Enter regression test mode, which uses a special chain in which blocks can be solved instantly. This is intended for regression testing tools and app development.
-rpcconnect=       Send commands to node running on (default: 127.0.0.1)
-rpcport=        Connect to JSON-RPC on (default: 8332 or testnet: 18332)
-rpcwait               Wait for RPC server to start
  -rpcuser=        Username for JSON-RPC connections
  -rpcpassword=      Password for JSON-RPC connections

SSL options: (see the Bitcoin Wiki for SSL setup instructions)
-rpcssl                Use OpenSSL (https) for JSON-RPC connections

and
"./yentend" yields

Quote
Error: To use the "-server" option, you must set a rpcpassword in the configuration file:
/home/chrx/.yenten/yenten.conf
It is recommended you use the following random password:
rpcuser=yentenrpc
rpcpassword=CbqafTXf8GuehvyL8cYyNyjXA9ZsyFXXyLnFm1Mjoq4L
(you do not need to remember this password)
The username and password MUST NOT be the same.
If the file does not exist, create it with owner-readable-only file permissions.
It is also recommended to set alertnotify so you are notified of problems;
for example: alertnotify=echo %s | mail -s "Yenten Alert" [email protected]

I haven't really mined much before and usually just sent what little I had to a coinbase wallet.

For yentend, it appears you have server=1 in your yenten.conf file, so you have to add the rpcuser and rpcpassword as stated. Once your yentend is running and synced you can enter wallet commands using ./yenten-cli, such as ./yenten-cli getbalance or ./yenten-cli getmininginfo. Use ./yenten-cli help to see all the options.

Hi all, still mining the coin and hope we will keep up doing next year to make yenten great and sustainable.
I was thinking about an airdrop, everyone who have enought coins to start in the first day of 2018 a small donation/airdrop on coinsmarkets.com chat or maybe here to anyone who buy 2 YenTen giveaway 1 Yenten and the condition is a printscreen with coinsmarkets.com balance for YenTen to be 2 and must be first time buyer of YenTen.
Wish you all a happy new year!

I already did this.

I gave away 50 YTN to anyone on coinsmarkets chat who sent me their address.

I only had 3 takers so I sent them all 100 coins each.

I did this three days in a row.

This was when YTN was at 100 sat.

Where were you? It sounds to me like you missed it.

You should  try not to miss it again and if I were you I would start mining or even buy some coins.
