so we managed to work together with Coinexchange and received their wallet-peer. The wallet is working again, but due to a lack of miners, the blockchain is very slow.
We are now setting up everything needed but if you want to support us, please download the wallet and start mining CrimsonCoin (Scrypt):

The release contains already a CrimsonCoin.conf which you need to place inside the %appdata%/CrimsonCoin folder (which will be created after the first start).

The current supply is 2802402750 according to the wallet, but we need more time to gather all information.

The team is forming at the moment, so any input/help is appreciated, especially ideas for a new Logo/Name.

What is your assumption? Prerequisites for growth should be, coins can not grow by itself .  It should develop and intuition is not far away .

It seems like a fun project, the 5 Billion token supply is outrageous and the price of 1 satoshi is a clear joke. But, anyways, let's keep on watching and following this project and we will see, what's on the dev's mind.

we are a group of blockchain+Qt devs looking for a new project focusing on privacy.
We found CrimsonCoin abonded by the old dev, letting the Community alone with a not updated Github and no real usage for the coin.

At this moment we are in a close conversation with Coinexchange and planning the revival of CrimsonCoin. As a first step we will update Coinexchange&Coinmarketcap, providing a new Github-Repo+ working Blockchain-Explorer. As soon as we are clear and Coinexchange is cooperating with us, we will start our Twitter/Telegram/Website services step by step.

First targets are updating the current code, so people can compile their wallets for Windows/Linux/mac. After reviewing the code we will add some features to make it easier for new users.

Depending on the feedback of the community and the support, we might consider building a long-term-project where we will hardfork CrimsonCoin to a new, modern blockchain-based coin. At this moment we tend to work on a privacy coin, but are open minded for different ideas. Also we are considering new technologies like DAG/tangle.

it seems to be a good one but i can say it is lacking of information like what is the purpose of this coin? how this project differ from the others that already failed and how could we get some good profit from this coin?
