This is interesting, we must say that the situation in Catalonia is different, this currency has a revolutionary essence, what you say "impossible to pay anything, without spending thousands of dollars in fees, and it is impossible to actually fit all of the monetary transactions in a single blockchain "there is already a Lighting Network solution.
I understand that you defend this coin for your ideals, but to speak like that of bitcoin, despising it makes me think about why you are here.

I for sure agree that the LN would solve a lot of the current problems Bitcoin have, but again, its not actually up yet, and even when its up, I seriously doubt that the LN will be able to handle 7 billion users and 400 million transactions a day. But if LN solves all problems, you still have the issue with the limited supply. The value of 1 satoshi might end up being worth more than 100 EUR, even 1000 EUR. And then you need an alternative to make it possible to make 0.25 EUR cent payments or even 0.001 EUR cent payments.

Sure, why not just use Monero, Dash etc? No matter how much all of us here believe in crypto coins value as a currency, most people think its something dodgy, dangerous, illegal etc. You can thank Silk Road and various goverment officials and bank employees for that. It will for sure take some convincing of people before any crypto coin will become as success. And that is way easier with a coin like the Croat. Not saying that thousands of local coins is the way to go. Just saying this local coin might actually do something good for the entire crypto, as the chance of it being widely accepted by local business owners in Catalonia is pretty good.

Also, you can ask yourself how many other altcoins can actually be used as payment at real businesses? Most of the coins cannot be used for anything other than speculative purposes, while this one has more and more small business owners accepting it.

Useless coin. No sense for crypto local coins. In a global world  you can choose between bitcoin or other altcoins, but to be the coin of a place is to be close mind. Can you imagine if all the regions in the world did the same? The Basque coin, the Scottish coin, Dutch coin, the Benetto Coin, the Texas Coin, the Rhode Island coin, the Tíbet Coin, New Scotland coin..., thousands of useless shitcoins.

Useless comment. Can you imagine if all of the world desided to use Bitcoin? Then it would become impossible to pay anything, without spending thousands of dollars in fees, and it is impossible to actually fit all of the monetary transactions in a single blockchain. Also, its possible for other people in other places to accept the coin, but in real life, how many do you think accepts even Bitcoin or some of the big altcoins? There is a much bigger chance for succeeding with a local fiat currency, whether it is digital or physical.

Also, you seem to ignore the fact that there will always be local currencies. Mostly because they have a higher level of trust locally, but also because one size doesn't fit all globally. So, what works in Singapore, Bangalore and Florida, doesn't necessary fit the way you do business or handle monetary transactions in Johannesburg. Or Stockholm. Or (add more places)...

Imagine if you where using euros in Gambia, where a loaf of bread is around 0.15 EUR, and a 5 EUR bill could last up to a week. A montly salary can be around 50 EUR. It would require ridiculous amounts of cent coins, and the cost of producing these coins, handling them, transporting etc. would be astronomical. So, of course its smarter to have a local currency, as the buying power of individuals is really different depending on where you are located in the world.

And history clearly shows that only a few global currencies have ever existed that was not commodities, while thousand of traditional local currencies have existed for thousand of years (usually lasts around a century). So, do a little readup on the history of money and commodities before dumping shitcoin comments on whatever you haven't invested in.

Just my 2 satoshis anyway.

Bitcoin is suppossed to solve the problems about fees with Lighting Network, so hopefully no problem that everybody uses it. Besides you can use Dash, Ethereum, Litecoin, Monero, Bitcoin Cash and many more. The thing is that in bitcoin top world developers and scientists are working on it, clearly there is a big advantage in that regarding to localcoins.
Local coins for 7 million of people can't challenge global coins for 7 billion.

And in Europe there was some time that each country used their own coin, and now many use Euros, that IMO is much better and make us to be part of the UE. I guess you think it's worse to have Euro in Catalonia than their own coin.

And about History. It clearly shows something about coins, but the thing is that bitcoin and the rest of crypto coins are here to change that, and most of us believe in that. To change it for a better and connected world.

But if you think it's better to use local coins, just prepair to travel 200km and start using AragonCoin, ValencianCoin, SpanishCoin, CerdinianCoin or RoussillonCoin. If you're happy with that, good for you.

Anyway, it's always good to have different projects around, just I don't belive in localcoins, good luck!

If the Catalan coin holders start to be used more and more often in the trading network and impart a certain value to the coin, there will be a very promising future for the coin

Dude you have no idea what you are talking about. Regional currencies boost local economies, it is proven, it encourages people to buy and spend locally especially to small/medium local owned shops and merchants.

This is just the most ordinary divorce, no more, do not believe anyone until there is official information on the official website. And on the other hand, it is better not to add Catalan to the exchanges, let it replace the trade monetary unit and has a value
In my opinion I find it difficult to replace the euro, an exchange would attract new investors.
Legally it's difficult but if Catalans choose to ignore the Euro even partially to support their independence struggle it could have an enormous impact. But not without consequences for sure.
I find it quite interesting that they already got several business accepting Croat.
I think it shows what the Catalan people really think and how they are ready to act. I read an article in a Spanish newspaper (link was in the Croatcoin website) about this and they asked a lawyer about the legal situation regarding the coin. He could just come up with that the businesses using the coin have to pay taxes as normal - nothing else. It was amazing. So the potential here is truly enormous if the only thing businesses need to worry about is paying their taxes on Croatcoin earnings. Business as usual - but with CROAT!

Yes, that is right.
And this number will grow.
Cryptocurrency CROAT CATALAN will replace the usual money in the future
It would be a great success, since many here would earn a lot of money. I'm sorry for my negativity but it's impossible ...
Although I will continue here filling my bag.
