I hear ya there! I just added three new ones to my collection, 21 mil sats, 1 mil sats and the kitsune

I really like Kitsune as well.  Actually my daughter's favorite.  Orange pilled her with it because she loves foxes.  Was that one ever up on Cryptoart.com's site?  I don't remember...

i also think and hope that there will be new artworks in physical form at some point .... maybe a new one for the upcoming taproot upgrade Wink
as most here know, i am also a very big collector of the cryptoart artworks and own almost all editions ... and in this context i would like to ask if someone has the 'Protectionism' and 'The Halving - error' both in small edition and maybe would sell them to me... Smiley

I wish they stayed with physical items.

They will be.  There will still be a physical piece.  It's interesting and the space is definitely moving that way with the "NFTization" of stuff that's rare or unique IMHO.  I myself voiced concern about this as well because I didn't connect the dots - in fact I'm still connecting the dots, or trying ;-).

I don't know or have the exact details but I'll try to explain; Feedback direct to Cryptoart.com or these very posts here I'm sure are important.  Us, as customers and fans of Cryptoart, really have a horse in the race WRT Cryptoart.com getting this right (hopefully really right), and not alienating those of us that love the product as it was.  The next generation art would still be sold as physical (I think exclusively but not sure.  May it be possible to forgo the physical altogether from the start? I dunno!))

The NFTs would be inside the piece.  A qr code under a security sticker, just like the private key of our current works.  If you were to actually convert the print to pure digital (NFT only by pulling the sticker) then the art piece is invalidated - should be defaced.  The question is how?  Where?  I say make the piece obviously not the original by frontal defacement, to prevent scammers selling these on eBay as originals.  That is something they need to wrestle.  Later, (new owner?) can reprint the physical by redeeming the NFT at Cryptoart.com.  Many questions for me remain with the real logistics and execution of the plan.

Feedback is what they need.  We have to chime in.  The train is on the tracks and moving fast.

BUMP BUMP BUMP.  Cryptart.com stuff gonna pump pump pump.  See this...."https://cryptoart.com/were-hiring-community-manager/" and the "pathway to NFTs" seems to be close.  I would love to see more discourse here about how the project has unfolded and where it's going!  I'm buy what I can while I can because stuff seems to be selling out more and more.

I wish they stayed with physical items.

Hmmm. Haven't posted here in quite some time. Can't seem to get images to work.  Posting links between the IMG tag just gives a link.

Time to start keeping this thread current with our announcements.

New Cryptoart edition released:  The Halving II (Moon or Bomb?)...

We've added a new Cryptoart edition!
http://cryptoart.com/product/bitcoin-the-halving-ii-moon-or-bomb/

This is the sister edition to the “The Halving” created by artist Christina Hess in celebration of the Bitcoin Halving.  This piece represents the time period from the 2016 halving to the next halving in 2020 and pays tribute to BTC price speculation.  Some suggest the reduction in Bitcoin inflation will create more scarcity and increase the price.  Others suggest a reduction in block rewards will reduce miner participation and make the network less secure.  The discussion seems ably illustrated as war-time propaganda.

The central element of this art piece is a rendition of the tally stick — an ancient device used to record debts between two parties.  A stick was marked to signify the debt, then broken and given to each party.  The larger half was given to the creditor and the short end given to the debtor.  Similar to the private-key to public-key relationship of cryptography, only one pair could be combined to verify the debt.  In this regard, tally sticks represent sound money by not contributing to fractional reserve banking.

This isn't the first time The World has seen Cryptoart.  I setup a booth at the Texas Bitcoin Conference a few weeks ago...

I wanted to gauge real-time reactions to the concept of fine art paper wallets.  BTW-- Hashfast next to me had a box mining 2 TH!

The verdict isn't out yet, but one of the Cryptowomen in the booth behind me was kind enough to pose for a quick pic...

So there it is-- A Ferrari, a Lamborghini, Cryptoart, Cryptowomen, the Texas Bitcoin Conference, on the Circuit of The Americas race track.  Not a bad start.

TL;DR:

Every great movement has been reflected in the work of artists.  I'm publishing Cryptoart as a medium for artists to contribute to the cryptocurrency movement.  Cryptoart also functions as a paper wallet by embedding a public and private key to store BTC.

Come by my booth at the Texas Bitcoin Conference!

About:

Cryptocurrency is valuable.  Cryptoart safely stores your coins in a physical, expressive, and collectible form by combining them with fine art.  Cryptoart can be loaded, unloaded, and reloaded with currency, collected or traded in person, stored or framed for your enjoyment. We strive to publish rich, unforgettable imagery that comments on the crypto culture and the cryptocurrency movement.

IAmA:

I've been an art dealer/retailer for 15+ years and always wanted to move to the publishing side.  I'm also a fan of Bitcoin, and this seems like a fun venture to combine both interests.

Cryptoart Details:

Each limited edition print is embedded with a QR code.  This is your public bitcoin address.  You can use it to check your balance or send money to your cryptoart. On the back, is a security sticker that conceals your private key.  Taking a cue from bitcoin, it was important for me to make cryptoart trustless.  If you don't trust the person you bought your Cryptoart from, you can change out the Bitcoin address and private key without damaging the art piece.

Cryptoart comes it several sizes, the smallest size is called a crypto certificate.  All editions are expertly created with museum quality archival inks on a 100% cellulose Hahnemühle German paper.   I intend all future editions to follow the same form factor to aid in authentication.

The Artists:

Finding artists is by far the biggest challenge.
My first artist is Alexander Fedesov; a Ukrainian artists that has mastered digital hyper realism and will hypnotize you with his illustrative detail.  His work is loaded with symbolism and will keep your eye busy. More artists will follow from various genres.

Looking for Resellers:

If you have a brick-and-morter place and want to retail Cryptoart, please contact me.  Cryptoart comes unloaded, so I'm also looking for trustworthy folks to load it. You should abide by all AML and KYC requirements of your jurisdiction.
