Yeh i agree with Wolf0, unless the card isnt hitting its advertised stock clock, it should not be RMA'd especially when a high RMA amount can cause the product to have increased costs and also actually can reduce the chances of another model being made off the same chip, which in the case of the 750ti, we NEED more from them
anybody looked in simple raiser issues ?

2 Nvidia rigs, exactly the same hardware and software, mining x11, 6 x 750ti GA Blacks:

First one, happy as, clocked a little:

Second one, cracks the shits as soon as I wanna clock even a little bit:

They both even have the same BIOS image.

Wipe it clean and start again with drivers/cuda/visual studio etc?

Even same cards from same manufacture might have different RAM, or different circuit/board. If you don't like this you should RMA and try to get another bulk.

Haha, I more meant that good sized hash increases on AMD aren't difficult - even with algos that have been out a while, like X11, X13, and X15.

Let's hope you're the man I'm looking for, I've been searching for an opencl dude to do exactly that!

I have nvidia card no good w/cuda can I still mine x11 coins?

If I can mine x11 coins, what is the simplest/easiest way to get me going mining some x11 coins?

Thanks

I just want to make a small announce if you missed it :

You can find my "new" ccminer fork for blake (NEOS and SFR) and blakecoin here :

This algo seems to report nice hashrates on pools, and ive put inside a protection to prevent useless recomputing of the same blocks.
GPU Usage seems limited à 90% with small pauses when the pool does not send new jobs, which reduce the Card(s) heat.

Reminder: SFR (SaffronCoin) wallet has a bridge to buy coins via Paypal, its nice to play with some money on exchanges.. promising

Wow nice. I will ask whether djm could merge your changes in his next release. Thanks.

it depends if talk is right, and if those results scale with mining performance.
If so, the gtx 980 is the same as 3 750ti's power wise.

performance wise a 780 is 3 750ti's, and a 980 is 1.3 times a 780, making a 980 the equivalent to 4 750ti's and the power usage of 3, plus only a single slot card

I may be wrong but that's how i see things, although i do think their graph is most likely incorrect

That is awesome isn't it?

Do we have any idea what the 980 may retail for?

Under $500 USD is probably wishful thinking...

Prepare to sell all your AMD farm, mate Cheesy

Hehe, I wouldn't be selling just yet...

I'm not selling all my AMD rigs, everyone knows Aizen has shares in Nvidia  Wink

Good luck!!

Thanks Wink

We needed a windows dev/compiler dude, I pm'd djm.

Compile what, exactly?
didn't get that either... because in principle there are already there (I mean on cudamining.co.uk)

[...] not sure what they want us to do with  8gb and 256bit memory bus though [...]

There was a time in the very distant past, where some odd people would use cards such as these for gaming, a time where texture data would easily fill up as much graphics memory as there was available!  Grin

Memory clocks can have an affect on it aswell. It may not handle memory+core clock well.
If its not a memory intensive algo, try dropping memory to stock and upping the core. It often gives better results, but a core of 1.37GHz is pretty good

I wonder if the 980's will overclock aswell, that would be a monster if we bump the clock up by the extra 200MHz
2x6pin, might limit a bit the possibility for extra juice and higher clock (?)

It must be 2 8pins. 6 pin is only 75w limiting the cards to 150w plus the power from the mb. 2 8pins would allow over 300w.

It would be strange to see 6 pins now I think

If it cames out with something different than 2x6 pin I will need to buy a new PSU Sad
unless you have some old psu, they all have 6 or 8 pin adapters...

I´ve checked here, my PSU is an Aerocool 600W 80 Plus Bronze, your info is 100% right, there are two extra 2 pin connector (now unused) to be used in the same power line: (2 x (6+2) pins).

Upgrade granted Smiley

Thanks a lot! Sorry for the noobzism Smiley

it is a 200W card so that could work (I don't remember where I saw that 2x6pin, but I saw it since I found that strange too)

standard 780ti is 6+8pins as well as the R9 290x

Might have to wait for the monster edition with 8gb of vram... not sure what they want us to do with  8gb and 256bit memory bus though...
