ok so i just tried to compile compute 5.0 and it fails at the start, i am guessing i need cuda 6?
yes, compute 5.0 it's a feature of cuda 6

i am planning to add 1 more rig to my house.Do you guys think buying 6x750ti is best bang for the buck?Thinking of either asus OC-2GD5 or msi N750 Ti TF 2GD5/OC

Definitely!

Also, the most efficient combo, and you can mine the magic nvidia coins exploited by the Christian duo.

Total n00b question:  in CCminer is there any way to reduce the "size" of the work you get from the pool?  Instead of having to do 80M hashes in one submit to break that up into say 10 hashes of 8M each.  Or is that just a function of difficulty?  Lots of Jackpot blocks are being solved in the 8-20 seconds it takes for me to submit my work back to the server and I'm not getting credit because I didn't get mine in before the block was solved Sad

That's purely a function of the diff (for as far as I know, that is), try setting the suggested diff lower, see if that helps.

@ C&C Hash Factory.

Thanks to you guys I am getting 109,210 Kh/s on Mjollnir Coin ( 8 - 750 ti's @ 12,700 each and 1 - 670 @ 10,100 Kh/s). If you are still mining or have mined it if you put your addy's up I'll send you some in a day or two after I build some up.

Also want to say thanks to bigjme for compiling. I know C&C have been busy coding. I'll send something in your address in your signature. Give me a couple of days also.

before compiling, set all occurences of #define MAXWELL_OR_FERMI

to 1 then it runs a good chunk faster on Maxwell.

it comes with it set to 1 as default so i just compile it Smiley compute 3.0 and 2.0 i change it to 0

I'm pretty sure the compute 5.0 in v.08 was a decent jump in speed compared to the 3.5 on my 750s, my memory could be foggy though. Maybe it was for something else?

Can you do a compute 5.0?  I think if work calms down I'll start compiling or tweaking as well, it's been a while.

Btw, Ich hoffe dass du damit eine Kiste von König Pilsener holen kannst, oder? Wink

In Munich we prefer local beers like Augustiner, Franziskaner, Paulaner Wink

What do you guys think of Hacker-Pschorr over there?  It's one of my favorites for most occasions but it's harder to find at most bars(pubs) in the states.  Franziskaner is really good but I've only had it on a couple occasions.

Feel free to ignore or delete this post if you think inappropriate.

Anyone had a chance to run nvidia+cudaminer and ati+cgminer in one computer? Is there a special option or settings for cudaminer?

I've ran that in the past...mining yacoin on both 4 r7 240s and a gtx 780.

Just make sure you install the nvidia drivers first, then plug monitor on amd cards and install catalyst.
After that you need to get some dummy plugs and voila.

I don't think it'll work at all using linux.

Great to hear that!

So with your previous setup, cudaminer will detect 1 GPU and cgminer with 4 GPU? with no special syntax or something?

Thanks!
I have a Gtx 680 and gigabyte r9 280x. At first I had to play around with the --gpu-platform command to mine with the 280x, but at some point it got fixed, with a driver update or something. Anyway, now I don't need any special settings, cgminer automaticly uses the gigabyte, and cudaminer uses gtx 680 Smiley

06/19/11 17:51 Bought BTC 259684.77 for 0.0101
10% increase for Titan
30% for Maxwell.

Not bad at all Christian. But to be honest I did expect more Cheesy. Anyway we have another cuda coin again.

Send 1mil JPC to your address Wink Tell me if you don't get it.

yes got it. Made my total go from 11 mil to 12 mil. Thanks.

did you adjust the MAXWELL_OR_FERMI flag in the quark/cuda_groestl512.cu module? The Titan wants the flag at 0, Maxwell wants it at 1. Groestl is still
part of Jackpot, but in our implementation only in the 3rd round Wink

in my super secret lab my 3 780 Ti cards currently pull this performance
Code:
[2014-05-05 23:56:28] 3 miner threads started, using 'jackpot' algorithm.
[2014-05-06 00:23:18] accepted: 1/1 (100.00%), 56563 khash/s (yay!!!)

Holy crap, I'd definitely donate extra towards a secret lab binary, you can keep the source, i just want a slice of that sweet, sweet pie o_o

@ C&C or anyone else

Question about CCMiner or issue I am having.

Does anything else special need to be installed installed on the computer to run properly?

On my rig 1 I have 3 750ti's and 1 670 and everything runs smooth as butter.

On rig 2 I have 5 750ti's and I can not get over 500 kh/s on any card whether I run them individual, all together or in groups.

I basically copied the folder from rig 1 to rig 2 and made .bat files. I just changed the -d on rig 2 in the bat files to correspond to the gpu's. Here is my example:
ccminer50.exe -a mjollnir -d 0
ccminer50.exe -a mjollnir -d 0,1,2

my question is how does it run smooth   when gtx670 with ccminer50?
ccminer50 is for maxwell gpu

That was for the 750 ti's. The 670 runs on ccminer30.exe

If you are sure, that the devices specified with -d are correct and the 670 IS NOT INCLUDED, then plz check your cpu-usage. Is this the limiting factor?
On rig you have 5x 750Ti and no other Cards? then specify: "ccminer50.exe -a mjollnir -t 5 -d 0,1,2,3,4" (maybe you don't Need -d Option, if you're using every Card in the System, but I'm not sure, didn't test it).

Christian

@ Chris84

Thanks.

It seems the problem was from solo mining with the cpu. Once I turned it off and ran the bats again all was fine.

Compute 3.5 - http://files.crimsonskulls.co.uk/ccminer%20-%2005-05-14%20-%20compute%203.5.zip
Compute 3.0 - http://files.crimsonskulls.co.uk/ccminer%20-%2005-05-14%20-%20compute%203.0.zip
Compute 2.0 - wont compile for some reason?

guys i dont know if i changed the groestl stuff properly so use on jackpot only please

Thanks for the compile! Still haven't had the time to tech myself how to do this yet.

My 750ti rig went from a maximum 2.9 mh/s to a massive 3.7 mh/s and is averaging at 3.5 mh/s. Much appreciation there.

Unfortunately, my 660ti rig losses hashes this build. I go from 3.9 mh/s on Christians last official binary (x86) to 3.4 mh/s on this new release. Double checked to make sure I used the right compute value too. Either way, NP complaints though, so cheers

what is wrong with my bat file? can you give me an example bat for the new jackpot 3.5?  thanks  i am using 750 ti's

ccminer50.exe -a jackpot -o stratum+tcp://us-east1.jackpotcoin.miningpoolhub.com:20484 -u user -p pass

try removing '50.'  should be ccminer.exe

it was a copy&paste from our internal SVN repo where we use a different filename, sorry.
that did the trick, thank you Smiley

little note bud.. __shfl_up does not exist on Fermi class GPU's (compute 2.0 devices)
so no amount of screwing around compiling will ever mean anything.. it won't work it's as simple as that.
chubner knows this VERY well too.. you can't find any docs online that talk about shuffle with a lot of warnings saying pre-Kepler cards can't do it.

game over for guys running various 5xx cards when they put v7 of ccminer out they put a note on GitHub saying the dropped Fermi and 64bit support.
So we have to find something else to do with our cards now.. hopefully the same procedure down the line does not keep happening too. (device support dumping)
be kind off gay to be dropping support for older cards in favor of a faster speed on the newest ones only..

I'm out of my league on Cuda compared to these guys though i have not invested the time and energy learning it like these guys have.
you also need a propensity for math i think and i sux at math Sad

All i know is it's a drag hearing about guys running Nvidia cards doing 20mh's or what ever when mine won't hash at all Sad

To save C&C the time of responding, since I haven't done much for the nvidia crowd lately:

__shfl is fundamental to some of the optimizations that are being done for newer cards, and it makes it possible to take very different design approaches than is possible if you have to go through shared memory.

There aren't a lot of other API changes that are as important for crypto.  I doubt any of us will stop supporting Kepler/Maxwell any time soon, but dropping Fermi is probably the right thing to do for the long term.
