a basic question, who determine(s) which new market can possibly start? e.g. BCH/CVC

BCH is currently the most unstable coin and i wont recommend an pair of BCH/CVC

Another question: once CIVIC makes voting via the blockchain a possibility, how does the system prevent someone from selling his or her voting right to someone else?

Question: Doesn’t civic’s coin price have to remain fairly low in order for it to remain affordable for the masses? Especially once there is mass adoption and coins will be used with greater frequency..

Why aren’t alts mooning while BTC crashes? I thought alts go up when BTC goes down?

Because you're assuming that people are simply exchanging one crypto for another, and not cashing out to fiat. While that used to be true, more people are just taking the USD.

There are so many ICOs now I think they might take away the spotlight from ones like Civic that have a great product! I wonder how many ICO’s that are coming out how many of them will survive longer then 5 years?

If the tech of those coins brings about some real use cases then they will survive. Even CIVIC still has a long way to go, but I am sure there will be a big need for CIVIC's tech.

when CVC is launched, what are the tokens actually used for? And why would they increase in value?

as i understand it, the tokens are more or less used to connect the user to the identity checker. via tokens, the user sends data to the identity checker, who then checks it against the blockchain (the blockchain in this case is created by civic after a user confirms their identity). they would increase in value if the demand for civic identity verification grows. if no major businesses or government sign on, then the tokens would have little use and thus have virtually no value.

A third of the tokens will also be used in order to attract and compensate validators for using the Civic network.

Hopefully some new adoption can occur soon to help the waning interest

What wallet do you guys recommend to keep CVC for long term? What do you think about Jaxx? Or is it better to keep them in MyEtherWallet?

I would use MyEtherWallet. You can use it with Trezor & Ledger for more security.

Why does btc price rise when segwit2x gets canceled? Wont all the ones who bought btc to get free 2x pull out now?

my friend

im a mess and confused --

i assumed and studied for months working on it ---

then the last few weeks i decided to pull a few bitcoin and bring over to the alt coins again to add to my losses in the alt world ! - OH no -- the batch keeps rising and --

now I'm too late to purchase any decent deals ?

the coins are already flowing back to alts -- -      much less opportunity --

any healthy projects your feel good about some movement ?

respect

re civic -- i love the idea

i hope they push and do not give up

it seems if they do  -- maybe still a good price point to get in ??

ideas ?

bless

I was wondering myself in the first place, but when you think about it a little bit more it also makes sense. Any fork means drama to Bitcoin, uncertainty, because it might take away capital and capacity from the original Bitcoin. This is not the case anymore and any uncertainty is now gone for the time being. That's why it rises in price now or at least saw some price increase as a consequence of the announcement.

Were those his words? Groundbreaking shit? Tongue I mean let's hope so, Vinny is definitely in a position to pull off something big. Maybe it will be a golden November for all of us Wink
