Hi all! This is Dataeum team with another Weekly Update

First things first, we launched the registration form last weekend, as promised. Now you can register to get on the White List and take part in the first round of our token sale starting August 20. Follow the link: https://www.dataeum.io/register

Right now, we're concentrating our effort on several big private investors and funds we've been in touch with.

Our team has also met with Lucie Codiasse, Chief of Communication at Action contre La Faim — an association fighting to eradicate hunger in the world. We are starting to work on a potential partnership.

Besides that, we've been planning our roadshow schedule that will start in August. All announcements will be made shortly — don't miss out!

If you have any questions concerning the project, go ahead and ask them in our official Telegram chat: https://t.me/dataeum

Hey Dataeum supporter! 👋🏻😇

To better understand the entire range of possibilities that Dataeum provides, we are doing a series of Use Cases that are going to give a non-exhaustive set of examples, and here’s the the next one: https://medium.com/dataeum/dataeum-use-case-4-7925a60d689d

Hey Dataeum fans! 👋😃

There are five main approaches for physical data generation (see image below) 👇

(SPOILER ALERT): All these methods are limited. They do not meet the first needs of maps and run such risks as incomplete, outdated or not reliable data, as well as high maintenance costs.

Several challenges persist due to the very nature of physical data:

🔸 58% of physical stores do not optimize for local SEO, which means that information is neither available, nor updated in online listings
🔸 Business hours and phone numbers change regularly
🔸 15% of roads are modified each year in developed countries
🔸 New housing appears every day in connection with an ever-increasing urbanization of emerging countries

Whether passively or actively collected, physical data remains the consequence of human actions and behaviors. To give back people the value of their production, while improving the process of data generation, the model must be reinvented.

Hence, by putting individuals at the center of a decentralized data generation protocol, Dataeum's solution will provide unparalleled data quality to the market.

Hey Dataeum fans! 👋😊

Data is a thorny subject. Can we group all of its variations into distinct types, categories and classifications? We’ll try:

1 - Big data
That amount of data that will not practically fit into a standard database for analysis and processing caused by the huge volumes of information being created by human and machine-generated processes.

2 - Structured, unstructured, semi-structured data
All data has structure of some sort. Delineating between structured and unstructured data comes down to whether the data has a pre-defined data model and whether it’s organized in a pre-defined way.

3 - Time-stamped data
A dataset which has a concept of time ordering defining the sequence that each data point was either captured (event time) or collected (processed time).

4 - Machine data
The digital exhaust created by the systems, technologies and infrastructure powering modern businesses.

5 - Spatiotemporal data
Describes both location and time for the same event -- and it can show us how phenomena in a physical location change over time.

6 - Open data
Data that is freely available to anyone in terms of its use and rights to republish without restrictions from copyright, patents or other mechanisms of control.

7 - Dark data
Dark data is digital information that is not being used and lies dormant in some form.

8 - Real time data
The term used to refer to instantaneous computing that happens about as fast as a human can perceive.

9 - Genomics data
Data that involves analysing the DNA of patients to identify new drugs and improve care with personalized treatments.

10 - Operational data
Companies have big data, they have application logs and metrics, they have event data, and they have information from microservices applications and third parties.

11 - High-dimensional data
Data that are multi-faceted enough to be able to handle computations that are capable of describing all the nuances and individualities that exist across out facial physiognomies.

12 - Unverified outdated data
Data that has been collected, but nobody has any idea whether it's relevant, accurate or even of the right type.

13 - Translytic Data
An amalgam of ‘transact’ and ‘analyze’, translytic data is argued to enable on-demand real-time processing and reporting with new metrics not previously available at the point of action.

Hey everyone! It's Weekly Update time — i.e. the Dataeum team keeping you up do date with everything going on at the camp.

The first thing you want to know is something exceptionally exciting, like the launch of the White List. Well, here it is: we're launching it this weekend. Tell your friends and keep an eye on our official chat: https://t.me/dataeum

Moving on from there, we're proud to present to you the renewed list of our advisors: now with Jorge Rodríguez onboard!
Jorge is an ex-Ethereum developer, ethical hacker and security expert — he has helped both blockchain based companies and large multinationals to improve the security of their systems. This has made him an influential voice in the industry, and his contributions help lend credibility to any project that he reviews. On top of that, he also excels in marketing, social media and project management. Rest assured — Dataeum will take the most out of this collaboration.

To those who haven't been paying attention to our Medium page — you definitely should. Every week we publish two series of articles — F.A.Q. and Use Cases. Both will help you figure out everything you want to know about Dataeum: https://medium.com/dataeum

Other than that, our team is still busy crafting the platform as well as contacting pools, funds and private investors. We'll continue to give you updates every week — just make sure you're here to see them.

Have a nice weekend, y'all!

Hey Dataeum Community! 👋😊

Physical data is used by a variety of businesses and individuals daily.

Despite its importance, it remains difficult to collect and qualify.

There is a popular opinion that as technology advances, privacy disappears as a phenomenon. And not without reason: a constant Internet connection, geolocation services and social networks don't exactly help to hide from the public. However, privacy, as we understand it, is only about 150 years old. For 3,000 years, cultures have nearly always prioritized convenience and wealth over privacy.

Most homes didn't even have walls separating rooms until the development of brick chimney, which needed support beams (c. 1500 AD)

Silent reading was not popular until the Church mandated confessions for the masses; the concept of private salvation ushered in a new habit of silent learning and contemplation. Silent reading would become popular with non-elites ~500 years later when books were cheap enough for individual ownership (c. 1215)

Beds used to be extraordinarily expensive; many homes only had a single large bed that was shared with the entire family and guests. Sex with others in the room was common (c.1700)

Information about citizens was often public, including the first American census. Even though the post office had introduced the first information privacy laws in the 19th century, postcards (without envelopes) were cheaper, and therefore often more popular. The Right to Privacy was coined in 1890, inspired by fears of the camera. (1900s)

When AT&T offered a $30 premium service that allowed users to opt-out of browser tracking for ad targeting, few users took it. This portends a future where most people will increasingly choose ever more invasive tracking in exchange for money, health advice, and entertainment. (2015)

We can’t help but notice how fast Dataeum community is growing everyday! We’re extremely grateful for your support and faith in our project. And we, in our turn, would like to help you understand the direction we’re heading and how our solution will come to life.

First, we will implement the collection of stores into the blockchain. Then, Dataeum will improve its application and open the solution to all available physical data (roads, traffic signs and lights, benches etc.)

The collection of physical data worldwide will open new fields of data exploitation such as:

Census of all elements of the urban landscape: vegetation, cycle paths, electric terminals, waste bins, telephone booths, sanitary facilities, sports complexes, etc.;
Optimisation of journeys for people with reduced mobility by identifying all pavements and their characteristics;
Identifying visual failures of elements of the public space: damages in the roadway, uncollected garbage, defective ticket machines, etc. so that they can be fixed more quickly by local institutions.

A gamification model will be implemented in the app to boost mass adoption and incentivize the community to contribute. Loyalty and contributions will be rewarded with Dataeum Tokens (XDT).

Hi! I just came to know about this project so don't have clear idea. I will check whitepaper and other documents for more info. But I always wanted to take professional help for crypto trading. It's seems that finally I found something interesting.

Hey there, basically Dataeum  aims  to  place  humans  at  the  center  of  the  data  ecosystem.  Through an innovative approach of linking crowdsourcing to blockchain, Dataeum is the first platform that enables the the collection of 100% of any physical data (such as stores, ATMs, gas stations, traffic signs) anywhere in the world, and with a 100% accuracy.

you can read more about it from the whitepaper here: https://www.dataeum.io/white-paper.pdf

also, join the discussion about this project on Telegram! https://t.me/dataeum
