Because deeponion is a scam. There's many real projects with actual development on the software front that offer real privacy.
it is not something new, we removed from OP the translation link some time ago, most of the translators cheated and abused, used our name and popularity for their personal gain, some still doing this. And what you abused or cheated cannot be good? Has to be small and worthless so it can be digestible ... so you can easy live or get on with it. Get the idea? Deeponion is too good for them. We don't have to stop them they do stop themselves.
We have decent translators and we keep them rewarded more and more each rounds to make sure they are happier with us.
You cannot get more than what you give. it is same in every projects. We give you an opportunity so you can give more (by keeping the rules and supporting) to a project differently than other projects.
We want to give you freedom from privacy concerns and we can secure your assets much better.
I am the translator of the Italian thread and I've supported the project from the very start (made even two videos) and I'm still supporting it. However your statement "We have decent translators and we keep them rewarded more and more" doesn't seem to apply to me. On August 24 Xsinx contacted me by PM on behalf of the Onion team asking me for a major translation update of the Italian thread. I'm quoting his words:
"I will follow and help you to get bounty + 100 ONION if you do so"
After 24 hours I had already made the major translation update which took me almost the whole day since it was quite massive. It then took me several weeks of repeated requests to get rewarded for that. But when I was finally rewarded I discovered that all what I got was the second part of my old translation bounty which had been due to me since July. And when I did complain he replied that the "+100 ONION" where not actually "plus", they were actually the bounty I was already entitled to receive. Very nice.
I should perhaps add that meanwhile I also happened to miss one airdrop due to a "burst post" accusation which then turned out to be a false positive of the bot, since my posts were spread over 5-6 days out of 7 and they were even exceeding the 10 posts quota by 50% or so, just a few of these posts had happened in a short timeframe, which is completely normal when you are on bitcointalk.
The airdrop which I have missed (not for my fault) amounts to over twice the amount which I've received by the way of my whole translation work. Therefore, no, sorry to have to say that I don't really think your statement about treating well translators would apply to me, at least it didn't apply until now.
For the sake of this coin, which is an excellent project and I said that from the very beginning, try to improve the relation of the team towards the supportive community, so as not to end up losing too many pieces of community on the way, which would then be fatal for the coin's future. I'm still supporting DeepOnion, but, as you may well understand, the events I've just mentioned have a bit cooled down my enthusiasm and proactivity...
