So the new rules say posting in Off-Topic section of the forum doesn't count anymore.
But in the OP of this thread it still says

Quote
You can post anywhere in the bitcointalk forum you wish! We have no rule or restrictions on this.

I think you need to adjust the OP to match the current conditions or otherwise it's pretty confusing.
Good point we will update this. Maybe we need to expand it but not post fully in off topic areas.

Yes, that could work but I think the wording could be even clearer. For example, there is an 'Off-Topic' board here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=9.0) and people may think the rules are only referring to that particular board. (Which as far as I understand they are not, correct?).
Yes i just updated it and linked that specific forum in the sentence.

Guys and I urge you all to post on all different threads just like normal BCT user so that the word gets out of our threads and reaches those who are not yet aware of DeepOnion.

A nice touch will be just adding a shoutout to DeepOnion by mentioning one of the relevant better qualities of the coin itself. There can be many things that you can subtly include like

1) In any other airdrop discussion bring in DeepOnions.. say that Hell profitable airdrop and we have fair distribution
2) In any Baikal miner discussion you can always bring in DeepOnions
3) In any heated discussion or a great going discussion, you can always give a shoutout to niceness of DeepOnion community
4) If you really dont like something on one of the threads or that other currency does not have their own forum that it can be really nice to create forum like DeepOnions. The coin is new but still has active 700 members

You get the point. This makes the post really really valuable for Deep Onions. You dont have to "Sell" the coin but whenever you can just nudge poeple in DeepOnion's direction

Good points, our official forums with this speed hopefully will reach 100k members and +1 million posts in 6 months. We have a great moderating team there.

It's astonishing how quickly this thread is expanding. I haven't had the time to pop into bitcointalk for a few days and found I had half an hour of reading to do just to catch up.

Enthusiasm for the project is obviously increasing - as it should.

As each week passes with a successful airdrop, more participants and a dev that remains active in the forum (without dumping their coins) enthusiasm is bound to grow.

I would urge people however not to attach that enthusiasm to the 'market' price of Onions. Ongoing positive project development should remain the best source of our cheer.

can i put our onion that I bought from exchange to airdrop address ? or need to separate it in to new address ?
You can put of course to airdrop wallet but when you spend from airdrop wallet your coins may move another wallet and this can cause some issues check this tutorial https://deeponion.org/community/threads/deeponion-wallet-sending-coins-with-custom-change-addresses.291/

You can do either, and it won't affect anything.

I would create a new address for everything else beside airdrop because of the 10% rule!
Can make live such more easier if you want to spend some of the coins you bought from Nova

I appreciate the new rule, but some clarifications would be nice as to how much is allowable and what the cutoff is.

I'm honestly having a hard time keeping up with things as 20 new pages will appear on this thread in one day.

Reading this thread, I see a lot of fears of a price collapse after the end of airdrop. But try to look at the onion from the other side, not just as one of the altcoin. If onion is a means of exchange, carrying the function of settlements between counterparties? Perhaps in the future there will be exchanges with onions. In this case, no price crashes can not affect the long-term existence of onion. The anonymity of transactions, the large community, the further growth of popularity will lead to wide distribution, to the fact that there is no need to sell onion for. People will use it directly for calculations. I apologize for the bad English, but I hope the general meaning is clear.

As I said in the deeponion forums,
We have to let the wild crypto world act on its own, people own their onions and can sell whenever they want, if it is a mistake time will tell.
What gives value to the project will be the community, software development and a little trust.
i HODL !!

I mean, we do not need to worry about the price after the airdrop is completed. We just need to follow the rules. Those who want, they will leave the train, but this will only affect the coin temporarily, and in the long run there is no reason to worry.

Dont be concerned about price after airdrop. The team will develop a lot features for deeponion. Maybe some weak hands or those who need the money will dump but I expect DO on a few big exchanges with big volume until airdrop ends....so HODL accumulate and be patient.

i download the wallet , and create the conf file . but it still can rsync?
i don't konw how should i do ? just because i come from china ?

You can not connect to the TOR network from China! So unfortunately there is no way to use the standard wallet at the moment!

You should try a VPN

Be careful though, VPNs are now illegal in China. Difficult to know what to suggest for Chinese users.

buy a vps on aws. google it you will find it's easy!!
Can Chinese people use amazon web services (aws)?

I might be wrong, but AWS powers about 80% of the web, so I would assume that if China is accessing the web, and not a massive internally cached version of the web, they would be accessing it. Again though, I might be wrong. That wall of China is a bugger.
