The company itself wouldn't be the immediate threat. There are countless of people who socially engineer or just outright hack companies to get access to data. And if the data isn't very well encrypted you will be screwed.

That's also a possiblity. That's why it's important to password protect. Perhaps also emcrypting the VPS hard drive. A VPS company won't have your password (if you crate a new one), so even if they get hacked, the hacker won't be able to decrypt the hard drive.

Did you extract contents of zip file and than opened the .exe. Try running it as administrator and see if that helps. Try to download it again and see if that new download works.

These are just some options that you can try, please reply if anything has worked so we can help you further if not.

Ye so I downloaded it again, extracted to desktop, ran as admin and it did the exact same thing - onion flashes in centre of screen then disappears ;((

I have tried both windows clients as well.

hey folks - i have tried to install the wallet in win 10 but it is still not working at all ;(( I can't register with the community forum until I have a wallet address either.
