I've got a question about the airdrop FAQ, point 8 ("Where do we need to make 10 posts per week? Across all of the bitcointalk forums"):

Does the counting include this thread as well?

Would someone be so kind to answer my question please? I would really like to know this...

Thanks up front, Jessica G.

Hello everyone. Smiley I have heard about this coin before. He got the attention for sure. It's not an old coin, but people talk about it. I think I will try to join Airdrop.
Anyway it will be fun to spend time here on Bitcointalk after I was on other crypto forums.

Hello buddy and welcome to DeepOnions community. First of all you need to get the Jr member statut (30 activity needed) and your account registered before 1 september.

Dont forget to read the conditions to apply for the Airdrops posted in the official website.

So is there some sort of schedule of how many coins will be airdropped? Or is this just random?

You can find any info concerning the distribution in the DO FAQ: https://deeponion.org/community/threads/deeponion-faq.352/

From the FAQ:

The distribution rate is computed as follows: (rates may change)

Airdrop Amount =
(Total coins to be distributed) * factor / sum(factor * number_of_member_type)

The factor is based on the member type, and is in the following table:

MembershipType Factor
Junior Member 0.8
Member 0.9
Full member 1
Sr. member 1.1
Hero member 1.2
Legendary member 1.3

Guys I took the risk and went balls deep into DeepOnion at $0.8 and now it's nearly $1!!! Wooooo

These shows that the community of Deep Onion is united on one(1) goal and that is to make this Deep Onion Project Succeed. The price of Deep Onion is very stable and and only goes higher and higher.

Go Deep Onion go!

Looks like there is a nice 5 BTC buy wall at 18000 satoshi which always helps things!

I wish newbs were included in the airdrop =( doing my best to get this account back up. My main was hacked along with Gmail =(. I love the idea and would love to help support any needs. I can translate to swedish if necessary.

Question, did you have 2FA on your gmail? I've heard rumblings that even that has been hacked now.

Unless I've missed something serious, 2FA is still secure. It's the device that holds the 2FA private key that gets compromised. Lets say you have an Android device with google-authenticator for 2FA, you then download an app that looks really cool, but is in fact a trojan. This trojan can potentially steal the secret keys or take screen shots when the app is open. I say potentially, as the ability to be able to do those things rely on numerous factors.

I really like the fact that it looks like DeepOnion is not just another altcoin. At least to me it does not feel like an altcoin at the moment. Most altcoins have a very small community and are only active in the first weeks.

Agree, Deeponion is fresh and distinguish itself from other alts with ongoing development and a kickass community. We here to Dominate!  Grin

This is what the devs of Deep Onion was able to accomplish:

-build a very good and supportive community around Deep Onion coin
-keep the price stable as much as possible by encouraging air drop participants to invest their coin holdings for the future growth of Deep Onion coin instead of dumping the coins as soon as they get it. It is controlling your short term desires (selling deep onion for cheap) in exchange for massive gains like what happened to Monero and Dash.
-keep undesirable and unproductive members at bay to limit any damage that can be done to the coin (low quality posts, fudding, dumpers who do not care about the community and the project, and cheaters who hoard airdrops at the detriment of honest members)
-making the deep onion coin and community unique among other altcoins as mentioned by metallicelmo. It is a community where positive contribution is encouraged and cultivated by generous bounties.
-continually develop the coin by improving and adding features like DeepVault that motivates and excites its community
-make Deep Onion known to the crypto currency industry even it is just several months old

let's start with the registration proces...

Given that this was your first post, I don't think you've read much as you claim to have. This is only open to Jr. Members + who have registered long before you did. Please read the OP.

But I can relate to what he is saying. The whole crypto environment tends to move very quickly and shortsighted and without experience, the fomo gets you. I myself am not that long a member of BCT, prior to registering, I only read and thought that it's a huge place and I was aware that if you participate actively it will cost a lot of time.

So if you commit to spending this time, you will understand that your're playing the long game and only then you really are able to help the crypto community in a significant way (and by extension yourself).
I completely agree. Especially with Deeponion for example we can see many users panic selling as soon as something happens instead of HODL. I used HODL for Darkcoin years ago when I bought $35 worth. Didn't look back until recently and it was worth it. I feel like the same is going to happen with Deeponion. Sure, I've "lost" some of my initial investment at current price but it doesn't have me worried one bit.

Reading all 1454 pages is not necessary - in 95% of the cases, I think most questions are answered in the OP. If not there, then I'd bet the remaining ones are answered by page 5, lol
