I think it is mandatory because it is an update of the previous version of the wallet be sure to backup your wallet first before upgrade just in-case.

I am really hesitating to dump my current Campaign of Notary which will probably give me less in 3 months than a week of deep onion
But first i need to be sure Deep Onion accepts me, is there a way to know before jumping in?

Hi airdrop is open for everyone. They don't have a quota for the number of participants. Just be sure to read all the rules regarding airdrop before you apply and everything else will be fine
I heard that so many people have been refused, even some heroe accounts so i worry .
When do we know if we are accepted ? After the first week wearing the signature ( so free advertising without being sure to be accepted ?)
My two cents: there will be most probably nobody who will provide a 100% guaranty for you. But that is life, and without any risk no real fun. As it got mentioned before, study the airdrop rules carefully. If you see your profile mapping with the requirements there should not be any reasons not beeing accepted.
I don't think it's fair and honest such system, it's made on purpose to have free advertising.
I saw so many high ranked people rejected over nothing, it's a big risk
The devs are doing everything they can to have a really good system. Not everything is perfect as this coin is at its infancy stage, but it has come a long way. You say many high rangked members were rejected, it just shows that the airdrop is fair, honest and open to everyone having the rank of Jr.member at least. Being rejected is not over nothing. Probable and common causes are the signatures, quality of posts and others, too many to ellaborate. Take a risk, since the reward is worth it

We are now more than 3500 members in DeepOnion forum, with 2425 members added in the last 30 Days. All want to join us.
Looking at those numbers, I can say that DO had been impressive in terms of getting more supporters. Let's keep this up.
The reward are very generous and in the original forum you can find a lot of good discussion where you can learn, keep coming and I hope to see we will grow more at the end of the year.

Maybe i should just finish my signature then, because i don't want to be banned without even being sure i'll be accepted to deep onion

So I've had a support ticket in for 4 days now. I got a response the first day after 8 hrs and not a word since. Anyone else having similar issues?
To the above post, I've been wearing the signature for over 2 weeks and still can't get accepted. I do have a wallet issue but still 2 weeks with no attempts at resolution. Support seems limited at the moment for the devs.

You can't know you are accepted or will be accepted prior to signing up and participating. You need to go through the steps and wait for the review process. Burst posting will disqualify you which I suspect may be the case on your first application. But they continually review applicants as long as they are involved and participate in the community!
So i'm forced to wear the signature for a week even without knowing if i'm accepted ? This does not seem honest.
