Depends on the coin you choose .
If the coin grows , you get more profit . But in general if you join in early days, you wont loose much for sure.

well I'm watching the masternods at http://mnrank.com/ and https://masternodes.pro/ and https://masternodes.online/
I got the following conclusion:
for the new coins:
1- all new coins come up with high ROI.
2- the ROI reduces gradually upon the increasing number of the masternodes owners.
3-the masternode price fluctuates up and down from its starting price with about 50%.
4-the masternode price of some of these new coins come back to the starting price and others never come back
for the old coins more than one year:
1- the ROI is relatively low ( average 50% more or less)
2- the masternode price fluctuates about 20% up or down but orverall the masternode price is considered somehow stable.
so finally I got to think that investing in masternodes is risky though yielding consistent income

Is the dev around here somewhere? I STRONGLY recommend adding a proof-of-stake capability in the out years (months) of this coin's lifecycle. Proof of work alone is simply too slow to obtain verifications during hashrate lulls at high difficulty. This coin needs to be faster in order to compete. Currently can't hold a candle to either Force or Xios w.r.t. transaction time. Please consider.
And yes I second the weak hands comment. Let the weak hands dump - I just picked up another MN today for like under $300 lol.

Price of this coine should be bigger than 1$.

My masternode is now also suddenly reporting WATCHDOG_EXPIRED.
I haven't changed a thing and the sentinel is running properly.
Edit: And 15min. later the problem is magically gone
I have seen that with my MNs as well. As I understand, the Sentinel on the VPS shows an error which caused the WTCHDOG_EXPIRED to appear and then Sentinel goes to normal and it reverts back to ENABLE. I do nothing in this case. I haven't changed a thing and the sentinel is running properly.
Edit: And 15min. later the problem is magically gone

as for the price at CoinmarketCap they probably look at Coinsmarket's com. Recently somebody was having fun with order prices. Like sold himself one DSR for 14000 sat

I feel all altcoins are dumping so much these days
the prices dropped down a bit because BTC now costs around $7770. But DSR is a different case and we see the price is twice lower than 3 days ago. And 9 days ago I sold me some for 9300 sat for a coin there's no possible explanation to that yetI think it is the time to keep on Bitcoin only.

Why is the price of Desire getting down, the masternode price now is 315 $,
10 days ago it bought it with about 700$
is that temporary downtrend?
I hope it gets up sooner

this is the reason why we habe "block problems" and not only desire this gobyte thing
but DSR hasrate is really low sort of 270 MH/s, usually it was 1+ GH/s. No wonder we wait for 90 minutes then get two large payouts when they finally find a block and then another one. I even expect getting 30% more a day with such diff. Because nobody wants to mine it and the diff goes a bit down. I've never seen it go down to 32 or so before As for GoByte I believe it's almost a copy of INNOVA blockchain forked two days ago, it has the same evil difficulty. No wonder no sane person would mine it with Nicehash spending lots of GH/s without expecting at least the same price as INNOVA.
