I just recently started buying and mining DMD. My biggest question is why isn't there a Rich List available (maybe there is one and I missed it) ? I find it very useful when investing in a coin... It clears up a lot of questions and seems more transparent when there is one.... thanks in advance....

To be honest I'm very curious myself about the distribution of coins.

Isn't the irc method of peer addresses distribution supposed to be a security hole? Isn't noirc=1 more solid?

in really dont suggest to use the paranoia conf
instead go with this one
listen=1
noirc=1
addnode=193.68.21.19
addnode=54.191.208.14
addnode=54.255.133.30
addnode=54.86.164.216
bantime=600
maxconnections=50
this way u use the backbone nodes as what they are meant for
as distributor of healthy peer lists
if u use the connect instead the addnode u dont exchange peer infos with them
instead go with this one

Yes all went down, I'm restoring them now but again will take some time.
The US West 54.191.208.14 one is the most problematic, it disconnects the whole thing so it's not reachable even for maintenance.
Working on it.

No, but it helps. I have mine open 24/7 and I never know when my turn comes.
Sure you can hold the coins for long and then open just for minting, but really 10 minute PoS intervals are a bit of a stretch.
So you can have it both ways, but I still think you get better results if wallet is staking regularly.

I was following syncing process from the start and could see progress of coin distribution.
The real change happened when Diamond Cloud Mining started in October .. this must have made many people much better off I must admit.
So.. do you wanna be much better off? .. the pattern is quite clear

agree a pretty healthy coin distribution consider the still low value which would have enable a few whales get way more
there u see the very long POW coin rollout phase was good design
compared to compressed coin rollout phase coins of like 1 week POW
and still a few more months POW available until 90% POW reward reduction
our open premine phase of close to 2 years soon ends
at total coin 1000000 the real diamond will become visible slowly
and people start to feel how hard it is get their hands on one

Yes, we'll try to identify exchanges and mining pools to label them for greater transparency.
I think a rich list was very much needed as we had no idea how coin was distributed.
It seems that most top wallets are actively staking which is good for security.
Top 1000 wallets hold 787,258 DMDs which is 96.09 % of all coins with Cryptsy still holding majority .. I have hoped we had greater spread, but this is the price of not being popular enough.
Lets hope it will improve with time, I'm pretty sure the whales when the price is right will start selling off their minted coins.

@cryptonit: I assume the settings button is available only when the address is already associated to cloud mining. Correct?
the settings button is avaiable to any address
because of this the setting convert incoming BTC to DMD Cloudmining shares
can replace manual managemant of buy cloudmining shares
and the terms of service replace the contract former user got
basical the same content
if u dont see the settings button refresh page with F5
please give feedback if u have troubles
